I was born in 1980 in Aylesbury, South Bucks. I grew up loving music and would listen to all kinds, but in 1992 i got hooked on the Oldskool Rave & early Jungle scene and i never looked back! These days i mainly listen to JUNGLE-DRUM & BASS, but i also love Oldskool, Hip-Hop, Reggae & anything with phat breaks, good lyrics & heavy basslines.I've been a dedicated raver since day one, raving all over the UK, as often as i can!! Right now my main focus is MC'in but mixin comes a close second.In 1999 I started writing lyrics & MC'in at free-raves and in 2001 i got my own decks and started mixin too. I carried on playing at massive free-raves & mad house parties all over the place.In 2001 i got my first taste of performing to a huge crowd at a phat venue, when i got the chance to MC in the D'n'B Arena at Raindance in SE1, (formally The Drome). Showing i have what it takes to become a pro' MC, drove me to work harder on my lyrics and style.In 2003 i chatted at The Battle of The MC's, MC Comp. At one of my favourite London venues, The Stratford Rex. A big night, i rinsed it! This motivated me to keep at it!!In 2004 I became a resident MC for LIVE & DIRECT, putting on loads of D'n'B events in and around South Bucks.In 2006 i joined forces with FIRE CREW, hosting heavy nights also in the South Bucks area and started playing on UK'S FINEST 87.5FM.
FIRE SHOW with JOURNEY DJ Every Wed 8-10pm and SATURDAY SHAKEDOWN with DJ UTB Every Sat 12-2pm.
And i got my own show on 87.5fm, Every Saturday 2-4pm called 'THE RIZBRA RIPPERS' with DJ's DALY and POLECAT and MC/DJ PREACHER, so TUNE IN!!!In 2007 i became a resident MC for THE OVERDOSE CREW, doing a monthly Jungle-Drum and Bass night in High Wycombe.
And became a resident MC/DJ for The Lounge in Aylesbury, where i get involved in organising a monthly, Pure D'n'B night there.
I also play alongside DJ's CRAFTY, RIF-RAF, TRIX, M-BLAZE AND MC D-RAW, holding proper phat events in Bucks.Over the years i have worked alongside Big names such as : NICKY BLACKMARKET, RAY KEITH, DOPE AMMO, BROCKIE, GROOVERIDER, FEARLESS, SKIBADEE, JUNIOR RED, RHYMES AND THE LONDON BREAKBEAT ORCHESTRA.If you want to book MC/DJ TELLA e-mail all bookings to :[email protected]
