Let's be Real; I love love love Marketing and Sales!! Finding genuine strength in people is my weakness.
I like things such as Music, Real Estate, Promoting, Booking DJ's, negotiating with club owners/GM's, booking sound and phoning the world to get posters designed & printed. Oh yes, I love walking around GreenLake, everyday.
Sounds of the East believes in Music and in making Indian/South Asian/Bhangra/Bollywood Music heard throughout the city of Seattle, throughout the US if we can help it. White, Black, Brown or Blue, We want everyone to hear it and listen to it. It should be available at all record stores regularly.Bollywood and Bhangra should not come up as a typo in MS WORD; hello, can someone at MS help me with this!!!??!!
South Asian American/Western/Eastern Artists should be featured on regular Western Music Channels. It needs to happen and it should happen now!

Anyhow, I can listen to UK Bhangra forever.
When you love music, you will get into things you never thought you would such as the fact that I watch Zee Tv so I can catch the classical music show that airs called SaReGaMa.
Generally dig Bhangra, Hip Hop, Reggae and R&B. Additionally, Love Asian Massive and Underground South Asian Sounds and infinite amounts of UK Bhangra.
Respect to Kanye West who is an unf**** believable artist.

I watch sooooo many movies even though I am too busy. I stay up til 3am watching movies.
Why in the hell would a person watch TV when people go all out of their way to make fabulous movies. I still don't get it. I did watch 90210 growing up before I figured out there was "real" life.
Jane, The Stranger, The Seattle Times (I know it said books, I am just naming what I read). Mostly stuff written by South Asian Writers. One of my favorite is: Interpreter of Malodies by Jhumpa Lahiri (sp??). Arranged Marriages by Chitra Banerjee. Shiva Dancing by Bharti Kirchner. I read about music quite a bit, but then again about South Asian Music. hmm...I am seeing this weird trend here as I am writing, that I am so into South Asian Music, Culture and Fiction :).
