Nabila: A Love Story is not your typical love story. Based on true events "Nabila: A Love Story" captures love in all its essences as the story centers around a young East Indian man name "Joy" who falls in love with a young East Indian girl name "Nabila" while attending college. The two lovers take it very slow in the beginning out of respect of each other’s family. The families come together and bless the marriage between the young lovers and all is well... or so it seems? The father of the groom (Joy) calls off the wedding, shocking everyone and to make matters worst he sends Joy away (Chicago) to forget about Nabila. Days past and Nabila panics thinking Joy doesn't love her. She confronts Joy's father only to find out that the wedding was called off because of her unfaithful mother. Lost and confused by the actions of her mother, Nabila commits suicide. The news of her death reaches Joy and he rushes back only to hear of his father's ignorance and Nabila's unfaithful mother. Joy's father felt that Nabila would turn out to be like her mother and was saving Joy the pain. Unable to handle the news Joy goes insane and removes himself from reality. (Fin)
