MUSIC MUSIC MUSIC- Phoenix has plenty to offer, just look around. Especially if you prefer rather extreme forms of self expression.
ASTRONOMY- Thanks to the portable design of an 8" f/5.9 dobsonian telescope and regularly clear skies I can get out and look up often. No computerized guiding here just good old star-hopping.
PHYSICS- Don't ask.
AUTOMOTIVE- I make a living from it. I hope it's an intrest. Off-road rigs, Hot-rods and home built machines are the most fun.
UNIQUE SPIRITS- A drink I enjoy...and a shameless plug!
Absinthe Spoon
Myself... I've been looking, but haven't been very successfull. ANYONE WHO: enjoys taking a blank sheet of paper and writing something. Can take a pile of junk and make something of it. or likes to be themselves just because.
-Anything that may be the audible equivalent to removing one's own flesh with a cheese grater. ( and some that may be less painfull options) I'm really not particularly concerned with with any certain "scene" or sub-genere. I like what I like and I am in no way apologetic to any scene snob who dissaproves. If that's you, go find something else to do. And the winners in no particular order are... [Sic]Monic, Agorophobic Nosebleed, The Berzerker, Beneath The Massacre, Job For a Cowboy, The Red Chord, The Black Dahlia Murder, Between The Buried and Me, Behemoth, Bathory, Ikonoklast, Element A440, I Watched Her Die, Soilwork, Mnemic, The Haunted, Katatonia, In Flames, Cthonic, Nile, Arch Enemy, Ekser(RIP), A Breath Before Surfacing, Pig Destroyer, Pelican, Die Form, Corvus Corax,...and on and on...
Forget films. Here are some more interesting way to spend time. This gets expensive...
Sesame Street...
Only the hottest titles in the Theoretical Physics Pop-up-books series. "Playing in Foam- Life at the Planck scale" "The Little Dyson Sphere that could" "Super Positions and the cat that might or might not be dead" and "So God really does play dice" In all reality I do usually stick to reading physics.
The Onion, Mapquest ( without it, I really would be lost...sometimes), Jon Stuart, Brian Greene, Stephen Hawking...
And this guy!
