Biking, kickboxing, reading just about anything but especially biographies and other nonfiction, Sunday crosswords, my cats, yoga, good grammar, local music, vintage styles especially 1920s + mod 1960s, thrift store shopping, baking cakes from scratch, vegetarian cooking, Ukranian Egg painting.

I'd like to meet:

"Whom!" ARGH!!

Books:

The book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration by Weston Price - published in 1939, it is a incredible documentation of the effects of Western diet on health. Stiff and Spook by Mary Roach. Biographies: Colette - Secrets of the Flesh, Dorothy Parker - What Fresh Hell Is This? Others: science textbooks, science fiction (although not much lately), vintage pulp, Lynda Barry, Krakatoa-The Day the World Exploded, Into Thin Air, Eccentric Seattle, Ann Rule - The Stranger Beside Me, anything by Dorothy Parker or James Lileks. I pretty much prefer nonfiction over fiction, especially biographies and historical accounts. Currently on my nightstand: Alfred Hitchcock Presents: Stories To Be Read With The Lights On, Vanishing Seattle by Clark Humphrey, The Elements of Style by Strunk & White (finally getting around to reading that one...)
