My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Atypical combinations of smartkins & insightniks who can articulate the complexities of life as a self-aware dialogue and arent the least bit afraid to think...and show it. (exercising a sense of humor and the absurd in doing so is a biiig plus. tres important, even.) Basically, rare individuals and independent thinkers in all their myriadic multitudinous forms. Also, I have great interest in those persons who actually make it happen in culture - in particular if realized with alternative / progressive political ideals or philosophical foundation / inspiration as its motivation. (aw daaamn, busted a rhyme inadvertently!) All those 'making' types; Art, Film, Music, Literature, Photography & all those other persons who give those things a place to exist; Galleries, Venues (w/ fidelity sound systems & an actual 'music' agenda), Underground Publishers, Independent Record Labels, Book/ Film/ Music Distributors, Visionary Modern Magazine contributors/editors, you know who you are... :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Those of you who are into the kind of atypical Avant-Sounds that most people still insist "Aren't Music" will find welcome company and shared interest in this kind of "Unnerving Noise" at the Sound - Art Group I moderate :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::: http://groups.myspace.com/soundart:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

'Heroes' are for losers ... but I have to admit I do have admiration for the amazing artists & thinkers that make up the body of the 'books' , 'films' & 'music' section of my profile... and a buncha modern-abstract visual artists like Mark Rothko, Gerhard Richter and James Turrell to name a few. Architects Rem Koolhaas, Diller & Scofidio, Tadao Ando and Toyo Ito especially occupy a place of high regard.
