About Me

I'm from NYC...well, sort of...via the South (I was born in Gibtown, Florida) and have lived in various areas all over the continental US (sometimes twice)...wanderlust, I guess...and reincarnation, of course! I recently moved to California's Bay Area, after a brief stop in Kansas City and several stops on the East Coast.
I'm a multi-instrumentalist (guitar, organ, bass, lap steel, hack banjo, ukulele, theremin, harmonica, drums, random percussion, things that go clang, snap and pop, I recently got my paws on a melodica, and a banjuke, etc..).
I'm obsessed with: carnivals, sideshow oddities, B-horror films, haunted houses (both real and man-made), mystery spots, beautiful imperfections, tattoos, tattooed ladies, etc... I'm a photographer...I have a fairly deep voice and I mumble... I play mostly guitar in RAGWATER REVUE; we are diligently spreading our gospel of debauchery, wine, women, one-eyed wonders, wooden legs, and alligator babies through sin and song. You can visit our website and hear some MP3s here: http://www.myspace.com/ragwaterrevue
Apparently this has been said about me (but I'm sure there are significantly less flattering stories that have been circulating around NYC): "Kris Fernald has been a part of the musical fabric of New York City for years, and is fairly well known on the independent music circuit around the world. His fondness for the more theatrical side of the industry has given him the opportunity to perform with such notable acts as The Creatures (w/Siouxsie of Siouxsie & the Banshees fame), among others, and he’s also contributed his talents to the BBC in London. His latest endeavor- Broken Umbrellas- is a tasty mix of surf and crime jazz..."
Nick Cave... dark and creepy. You're a bi-polar
genius, with equal passion for the most
degrading aspects of humanity, as well as the
beauty & wonder of God and Heaven.
Which fucked-up genius composer are you?

The Zombie Movie Survival Quiz
Been craving brains lately, have you? That could be because you are a zombie. I'd beware people toting shotguns if I were you.

Geez...that's a bit harsh
What kind of Zombie are you?
You are a Return of the Living Dead Zombie. You were brought back from the grave by exposure to 245-Trioxin. You crave the heavenly taste of spicy brains to stop the pain of being dead. You are virtually indestructible, as even burning you up will create Zombie Rain and raise more zombies.
