TRUTHLiVE (Evan Phillips) is a music industry anomaly… An insightful, articulate, and honest lyricist with a taste for traditional Hip Hop beats. Primarily an eMCee/poet, TRUTHLiVE is also a skilled beatsmith, DJ, promoter, and general entrepreneur. TRUTHLiVE finds inspiration in real experiences (i.e.- life threatening heart condition requiring three surgeries), acute observations, innate intuition, and a family background in organic/conscious living.Humbly starting his career as a self taught DJ at the age of 14, TRUTHLiVE has now grown to work with Hip Hop greats such as Canibus, Inspectah Deck (Wu-Tang Clan), Mos Def, DJ Premier, and many more.
