I'm mainly into Metal music and Film. I'm one of what seems to be a dying legacy of TRUE Metal lovers. Sorry kids, but your Emo/Screamo/Skate Punk/Nu Punk/Nu Metal bands have nothing to do with my scene. STOP NICKING OUR MUSIC!! It's a fad that trendies go through because they're rebelling until they finish Uni.. Completely fake, whiny little excuses for bands, the lot of 'em! I'll still be happy to speak to you if you want to speak to me but just know my views in advance. I'm into the Extreme side of Metal mostly - Death/Grind/Doom/Thrash/ Speed/Melodic/Trad/Industrial. I also like a whole lot of true European and US Hardcore (I stress; definitely NOT this whole "Post Hardcore" crap... What's that about???) and a fair few of the original Punk bands too, especially the old American punk. I will applaud and support all music which I find to be genius and that could come at me from any angle of the musical spectrum. I love my extreme music but this beast can be tamed by the sweetest ballard or most heartfelt lyrics.
I like to go to gigs as much as finances and availabilty allows. Throughout my days I've clocked up many a happy memory by seeing some of my heros in action. Living in Ipswich, there really isn't a whole lot of choice when it comes to seeing international acts, although Fear Factory and Ozzy Osbourne have been known to tread the boards of our humble theatre. We also had the mighty Motorhead a couple of times too! Awesome!
I play the guitar and used to play in a relatively successful band called "Failed Humanity" (see my sister page, based in my friends list for songs and a biog.) We've since split up though - Many have asked why and if I ever find out a definitive answer to that question, I'll let you all know.
See further below for details about my small obsession for film, oh and something completely random... I'm totally into everything that's Zombie related. Love them, love them, love them!
Everyone really... You all get a fair shot. I'm not particularly up for popularity contests though. Everyone that's on my friends list are people I either know really well, are friends of friends, or people who I've bumped into, either on here or other web based communities who I would genuinely like to meet in the real world, so if any of my friends ever have any MySpace get togethers, I'm in!
ATTENTION! WILL YOU BANDS PLESE STOP ADDING ME RANDOMLY JUST FOR THE ILLUSION OF POPULARITY? THERE'S NOTHING MORE ANNOYING THAN KNOWING THAT YOU'VE BEEN CARPET BOMBED BY SOME SHITE BAND THAT HASN'T EVEN BOTHERED TO READ YOUR PAGE. I AM INTO METAL AND THE LIKE. I DON'T WANNA BE SEEING BRIT POP, OR KIDDIE FILLED ATTENTION SEEKING EMO BANDS THAT DON'T CONFORM EVEN SLIGHTLY TO MY INTERESTS. YES, YOU LOT ARE THE MAIN CULPRITS THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME, YOU'RE ALL CRAP ANYWAY!!!
Have a look at this below to see what's making me tick, sonically at the moment. I frankly, cannot be arsed to write out a huge great list of who I like to listen to. I think you'll generally get the picture by what's written and by the videos I put up.

I absolutely love all horror, especially Euro and Asian horror and Cult cinema. I'm slowly building a fairly respectable library of all kinds of wierd and wonderful specimens - Some that will creep the bejesus out of you too... Hollywood has like, SOOOOO much to learn... Very rare that Hollywood grasps my attention but it has been known to happen... I'm so much more a fan of films that send me cold with fear rather than resort to the cop out of a jump scare. Let's face it, your little sister can manage that one and usually on a daily basis. There are Directors in Hollywood that can pull it off but for pity's sake, please stop remaking films that don't NEED to be remade because they're already classics. (Im talking about the Psycho and more recently, Omen scene-for-scene remakes here). Also, if you're a Hollywood Director and are thinking about it, please cease remaking the Asian Horror cinema classics. YOU'RE NEVER GONNA BE AS GOOD AS THEM! Please look at the greats: ARGENTO, FULCI, NAKATA, MIIKE, PARK CHAN WOOK, HITCHCOCK, CARPENTER, ROMERO etc. and make up something that's truly original.
I'm not JUST into horror though. I am a bloke, after all and a decent action flick will get the old testosterone flowing and making me believe that I AM actually as hard as Rambo and I CAN take out an entire army with just myself and a bow and arrow.
Generally can't stand it... Most of the time I watch it, I'm zoning out because I'm over-tired and zombified! Very, very occasionally some documenatry or programme may come on that mildly tickles my fancy but those moments are too far and few between to mention. Oh, apart from the cheesy grot that you get sometimes, that you just CAN'T take your eyes off.... And I pay £126 a year for my TV license like an honest, upstanding citizen for this? PFFFT!!...
Don't often get a chance to read books.. They were invented for holidays anyway weren't they? When I do read, I enjoy it and I have a very limited selection of books that I actually keep. I like Richard Laymon, The "Aliens" books by Steve Perry and co (Pure pulp escapism and shlock but I like that in a book...) Who else..? Ohhh, the set of three Lord of the Rings spoofs titled: "Bored of the Rings", "The Soddit" and "The Sellamillion" by the Harvard Lampoon are hilarious. Authors that I'm really into right now are Koji Suzuki - Author of the books that inspired the Ringu Trilogy. Well the first film anyway, after the first film they kind of tangented into two different sets of sequals not including the Hollywood murder of the first Ringu film. I'm babbling aren't I? Last but not least my favouritest book ever, is the Bruce Campbell autobiography: "If Chins Could Kill - Confessions of a B-Movie Actor" my God, everyone should read this book. It's downright incredible. I'm looking forward to reading his second book: "Make Love (The Bruce Campbell Way)" Which some lovely lady bought me for Christmas last year.
My Dad, My Mum, my Sister, All my close family and friends are people I look up to and give me the inspiration to be the guy I like to be today.
