Why Latin-Jazz? “Para que vive la mùsica latina"
Mucho Gusto brings you the Latin American Classics from Tito Puente, Celia Cruz and lots of others. Spicy Salsas like Ran Kan Kan, Demasiado and Mardi Gras Mambo , flirty cha-cha ‘s like Guantanamera, Oye Como Va, I like it like that, Pata pata, Cuentame , Bang Bang , romantic rumbas like Beautiful Maria, swinging sambas like Mambo Swing and I want to be like you and lively merengues like Tres Deseos and Pachanga are a must Thanks to the arrangements of Dominique Vanhaeghenberghe, Andy Declercq and Frank Debruyne these are gems of authenticity. It is music that contains more than a CD could ever fully offer. The ‘Son’ of Mucho Gusto goes beyond that. The four headed percussion section provides the foundation for feet and heart rhythm impairments. Piano, guitar, trombones, saxophones and trumpets give a feast of sound combinations and afterbeats in which the sole of the music finds its expression. The vocals lead the cocktail directly to its goal. Be warned.
In 2004 a partnership was merged with the dance couple Daniel Howett & Anja Vandenbroucke. As top couple in the Belgian and international Latin- and salsa scene they are in an ideal position to visually translate the music you here. They interpret some of the songs with choreographies made to fit. If the opportunity arises, they will gladly help you on your way with the basics and in now time you will be on the dance floor at every Latin Fiesta.
