U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D

I was property of the United Federation of Planets, Starfleet Command Division. My full designation is U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D. I am the fifth incarnation of the valiant and historic starship name "Enterprise". I was constructed at the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards orbiting Mars in 2363. I was commissioned in 2364 to Captain Jean-Luc Picard and second in command, William T. Riker and Dr. Beverly Crusher. Field Captain William Riker and Captain Edward Jellico were both given temporary command of me with Captain Picard incapacitated by the Borg and being sent to Celtris III for a covert operation. I was twice the length and had eight times the interior space of my historic predecessor, the NCC-1701. I had 42 decks with a combined staff and civilian passenger load of 1014. I was 642 meters long, 479 meters high, weighed 4,500,000 metric tons, contained 11 Type-10 phaser arrays and 3 photon torpedo launchers, had a cruising speed of warp 6 (263 Billion mph) and a maximum of warp 9.9 (1.07 Trillion Mph). I was commanded over an 8 year-long period of time, logging tens of thousands of lightyears. My journey came to end in 2371 when The Klingon Duras Sisters gained access to my sheild frequency through the aid of Dr. Tolian Soran. Subsequently, my warp core breached post a saucer separation, yet the shockwave from the breach sent the saucer to crash-land on Veridian III. My computer systems' files were downloaded to the Starfleet database before my remains were demolished.
