Okay, it's about time for an update...I'm first and foremost a mamma of 3 little banshees by day, living with my love and babies' Daddy for 6 years. I am a caregiver for the elderly, mentally ill, and hospice patients at night ;} for the last 3 years. On occasion, I am a bartender.
This past year, I found a new love; ROLLER DERBY baby! It has saved me from falling into the pit of house-wife despair and given me my strength back. I am more motivated than ever and am forming some friendships with some hardcore mammas.
People have called me many things, but, I'll save you the horror and tell you what I think. I'm a bit eccentric, very spiritual, and a loyal friend. I love my family with fierce passion and would do anything to protect them...anything. This family of mine is quite extended and includes many friends.
Most of the time, I have a pretty short fuse and a sharp tongue, but I'm working on that. I'm a sarcastic and cynical wench. I'd like to think that most of the human race is not motivated by self-interest alone, and try to project as much positive energy into the Universe as I can.
To me, the government has proven itself to be corrupt and unworthy of any trust from it's citizens. So, I take any opportunity to speak out against the government and raise awareness, which, on occassion has lost me a few friends...oh well.I am currently taking online courses so that I can change careers within the next year. Bed pans, injections, skitzo attacks, and death are starting to burn me out. I'll be working more closely with animals than humans which suits me just fine. Besides, I think my fat old dog is a hell of a lot cooler than most folks I've met along the way.
I am a member of the NRA and I think everyone should know how to handle fire arms. Primarily because, if you don't, the a-hole who is robbing your house, probably does. And second, because as many of our rights that the government has infringed upon, losing my guns is not one I plan to accept.
I don't plan on living in West Texas forever. I like greener, warmer climates and am often homesick for the border. Being raised on the Southern Texas/Mexico border has made many of it's traditions and some of it's culture second nature for me. I have come to dislike this climate enough to miss even the sulphuric smell of the Rio Grande mud behind my old house. It's almost better than the wind blowing the feed lot stench in my direction around here.Blah blah, that's all I got.
