Stop Bullycide is a group of people that came together in an attempt to spread awareness about the dangers of bullying.
About 500,000 teenagers try to kill themselves every year, around 5000 of them succeed. Suicide is the 3rd leading cause of death among 15 to 25 year olds.
Studies show that stressful life events, such as being bullied, increase the likelihood of a suicide attempt or completed suicide.
Even if a suicide attempt is not followed through. The pain from frequent bullying can emotionally scar a person for life.
Over 100,000 children drop out of school every year due to bullying.
The world needs people like you and I to stand up and fight for what is right. We need to take action and help defeat this deadly epidemic.
Why do people bully:
A lot of people bully by teasing one another, spread rumors, and pick fights to be mean. They think it will make them popular. They also do it to feel better about themselves. It makes them feel important when they control other people. Some do it because they get a thrill out of hurting others. Maybe they are being bullied themselves by a parent, sibling, or peer. Sometimes they are so unhappy that they want to bring others down to their level. Whatever the reason, bullying is wrong.
What to do if you are being bullied:
If you are reading this page and you yourself are a victim of bullying. Be strong. I know it is scary. I would tell you to take it one day at a time, but I know how one day can feel like and eternity. If you are being bullied, my best advice to you is to avoid the places that they hang out. For example, if they hang out in the hall ways between classes, try taking a different route to class so that you don't have to walk past them.
Act confident.. Like their words don’t affect you. Most of the time bullies pick on people they know won’t stand up for themselves. They like to get a reaction out of you. If you act like you don’t care what they say about you.. They might just leave you alone.
If they e-mail you or text message you with nasty messages, IGNORE THEM! Do not message them back. Do not tell them how much their words hurt. The truth is bullies don’t care if you are hurting. They won’t feel sorry for you no matter what you do. Even if you try killing yourself! Bullies want to break you down, they want you to suffer. I know it hurts, but you can’t let them see that! You must be strong..

My Interests

Two Wolves

An elder cherokee was teaching his grandchildren about life. He said to them, "A fight is going on inside me. It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves.

One wolf represents fear, anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other stands for joy, peace, love, hope, sharing, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, friendship, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.

This same fight is going on inside you, and inside every other person, too."

The children thought about it for a minute and then one child asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"

The old cherokee simply replied,"The one you feed."

I'd like to meet:
