J'aimerais penser aux TELESCOPE EYES comme a un train postal qui aménerait de bonnes nouvelles à des villes ou à des vies en déroutes (n'en n'a-t-on pas besoin en ce moment). Il y a toujours un passé pour décrire une personne, le mien est simple. J'ai toujours voulu faire du rock'n'roll ma vocation ever since I was a Kid (maher). Les chances que j'ai eues à me retrouver à  New York City ou Londres et finalement Montréal m'en ont appris des choses.J'ai été signé par Ian Walker sur le label shake the record label malgrés des critiques élogieuses et un album rempli de rock'n'roll mordant à la Jam,Velvet,The stones ect... le groupe a splité il faisait trop froid à Montréal (Nous avons mis 5 chansons en ligne des Soundogs, pour en savoir plus cliquez sur Soundogs parmi nos amis) . Mais comme je le dis dans Hard Times in the City, cela prend du temps à savoir que "rock'n'roll ne rime pas avec conséquences". Ces chansons sont mon ADN, l'air que je réspire et evidemment mes yeux pour voir, même si cela peut parfois être dur.A LA VOTRE; sincerement KID MAHER. Hello everybody, hope you're doing well. We've got good news (at least we hope they are),we've just put online the Mastered versions of Rock'n'roll Damage and Calling out + 2 new songs that are not gonna be on the EP, but we love them so there you go. Actually we're thinking about putting hidden tracks on the EP but we got a lot of songs so we haven't decided which ones yet. HOPE YOU DIG THE MUSIC AND JUST LIKE THE BARD SAID " HE NOT BUSY BEING BORN IS BUSY DYING".Here's a little story of how Telescope Eyes decided to see. Kid Maher was raised by rock'n'rollers too. But they stuck to dancing where as the kid decided while he was on a trip to london to buy the cheapest accoustic guitar he could afford and bought a little book called easy guitar. The details after that, I think you can imagine...At the age of 27 ( after living London, and then New York for 8 years), he got signed to the independant label "Shake the records label", it was a division of Cargo Records who owned at the time the first Nirvana album. So the Soundogs, Kid Maher's first band released an LP called This poisoned town. Besides very good reviews and a loyal fanbase they had to split up it was getting too cold in Montreal. It was a good rock'n'roll album filled with punk rockers infused with soul music à la Jam and a beautiful 12 strings entranced ballads inspired by the Velvet Underground and the beach boys. Well, it was what it was, it's the present that counts. So here is The Telescope Eyes project which has been my obsession for a year and a half now. Lorenza has entered the picture. I have always wanted to write songs for other people and Lorenza proved me she could do them justice.I didn't hesitate a second and went to work.I then decided that every song, whoever was singing the other would be doing the back up vocals or more. The songs that we've just finished recording are not yet online ( we are mastering) but we can't wait for you to hear them. Kid Maher adds these songs are my dna, the air that I breathe and of course my eyes to see.SADY
Je suis née un soir d'hivers dans le sous sol d'une rue parisienne ou jouait un groupe de rock'n'roll,qui semblaient envoyer des particules magiques a son public transcandé. Et je n'avias jamais rien ressenti de plus vrai que cette bizarrerie.Alors comme le chanteur avait le feu et que j'avais froid, je l'ai suivi. Voilà comment la musique m'a attrapé;et libéré le coeur.A force de rester collée à Kid Maher, roi de l'underground, Paris town me fut dédiée, et pour la première foi, je rentrais en studio. Quelques mois plus tard Kid Maher forme les Telescope eyes groupe dans lequel il me propose de participer.Alors si je vous envoyais de ces quelques particules magiques que j'ai reçu autrefois je serais deja comblée.LORENZA.
