Cries and Wild Eyes

The Sea Thief

About Me

Cries and Wild Eyes started playing with each other for a year before they even considered playing any gigs. That was two years ago and even then we're were talked into it.When we first started playing together we were completely unsure of what a band was about, and were still learning our instruments and what they can do. This completely organic approach explains why we don't have a bassist or any vocals. A bassist wasn't around when we first started, and vocals never occurred to us as we didn't even know what we were doing in the first place.
Blending influences from bands such as Interpol, TV On The Radio, .....Trail Of Dead, Joy Division, Modest Mouse and Pretty Girls Make Graves we try to not let being instrumental an excuse in losing some sort of 'song' built structure. We like to develop and move forward and develop some progression.
After playing only 2 gigs we were offered to record with Kev Dosdale of Written From Negative/Drawn by Lines/Mansions of Glory/BEAK/Razmatzz Lorry Excitement. This culminated in a 5 track ep made to sound fantastic thanks to Mr Dosdale.
7" Split with Pale Man Made - coming February 2007 on Fakedream Records.
