MyGen Profile Generator FDN nace en la misma Ciudad Juarez donde la gente suele perderse cuando llueve “and it’s Easter time too”. El año era del 2001, al parecer. Después de varios ensayos, (algunos atroces, otro no tanto) la banda graba un demo de ocho canciones con el gran (si tocaste con Jaime López, tienes que ser grande) Daniel Siqueiros (talentoso guitarrista que en la actualidad se encuentra en algún lugar del mundo, portando un sombrero vaquero negro) en una grabadora de ocho tracks de finales de los noventa. La banda presuntuosamente titula esta grabación El arte de ser nadie, mostrando su gusto por el jazz cocktelero y meloso, la música de los espagueti westerns y cintas de horror y sexo europeas de dudosa calidad, así como por el heavy metal. Después de algunos conciertos (algunos atroces, otros no tanto) y tras componer la música para la cinta independiente The Hand of a Dead Man, G.Estala y Almitri DV deciden hacer un disco vulgarmente rocanrolero. Así es que en el verano del 2007, componen y graban su primer l.p. titulado Sun Elvis Blues, en el que coquetean en esta ocasión con el rocabilly, el garage rock, y el country clásico, por supuesto. La banda se encuentra preparando el repertorio en vivo y una mini-gira. FDN was born in the same old Juarez where people tend to get lost when it rains “and it’s Easter time too”. The year was 2001, I guess. After several jam sessions, (some sucked, some didn’t), the band cuts an eight-song demo with the great (if you played with Jaime López, you’ve gotta be great) Daniel Siqueiros (an amazing guitarist and fiddle player who’s now roaming around the globe wearing a black cowboy hat) using a six- track digital recorder from the late 90’s. They pretentiously entitled this recording El arte de ser nadie (The Art of Being Nobody), displaying their obsession with cheesy cocktail jazz, spaguetti western and eurotrash soundtrack sounds, as well as heavy metal. After playing a few gigs (some sucked, some did not) and writing the soundtrack for the independent film The Hand of a Dead Man, G.Estala and Almitri DV decide to make a down and dirty rock and roll album. So in the summer of 2007, they write and record their first full-length album Sun Elvis Blues, messing around this time with rockabilly, garage rock, and good ol’ country, of course. The band is currently planning a mini-tour.
