My name, Crystal Joy Anderson, on myspace since mid-August '07, so fairly new, graduated from the UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA in 2005 (GO GATORS!!!)-- I majored in SOCIOLOGY and minored in MUSIC PERFORMANCE (instrument: PIANO). I am going to attend graduate school this fall to study THEOLOGY (EMORY UNIVERSITY- Master of Theological Studies' biblical and historical studies concentration). As of now, I plan to do research and to publish, among other things. Both WRITING and MUSIC are my passions.
I was born and raised in GAINESVILLE, FL, in a CHRISTIAN family (parents PASTORS in Church of God in Christ-- COGIC). 4 siblings. My mom recently passed in 2005. I am even more dedicated to fulfilling my purpose in GOD and make my mother proud. I miss her daily and I know that it is GOD's GRACE that gives us all strength to continue to press toward our dreams.
I am certain that there is a purpose to life and the changes that occur within it. With that, contrary to some beliefs, I believe that life did not begin haphazardly by mere chance, suggesting meaningless. There is something bigger than our human minds can imagine.
Alsooo, we're all musical. My father is classically trained in piano & voice-- and as a Music Education major, has studied all instruments; my mother played the piano/organ since about the age of 3 or 4 and was a great vocalist as well.
My sibs and I each play at least two instruments. Here's the sequence: drums/saxophone/piano | voice/piano/clarinet | piano/flute (that's me. I was a band geek) | piano/clarinet/(music producer) | voice/piano/guitar/tenor saxophone/(music producer).
