Well, I did put some of that in the "About Me" section, but now that I've read further let's update here, too. I love doing special f/x makeup work and am an amateur photographer. Ice hockey...wonderful sport. I am also a computer addict and (gasp!) a roleplayer. Role Playing Games for those of you who looked at that with a dirty mind. Also, I love to travel. Doesn't even have to be a long distance; as long as I'm moving, everything's good. Final note to all you gothic computer gamers out there: the three absolute BEST gothic computer games are, in order: American McGee's Alice, Clive Barker's Undying and a little-known one called Sanitarium. Don't believe? Play them and you will.
Friends. Nice and general, huh? I like people who are outgoing and like to have fun. Joksters and pranksters fit into that category as well. A sense of humor is required, because you HAVE to be able to laugh at life. Also, you need to be able to keep an open mind. You meet a lot more interesting people that way. As far as gender is concerned, male or female, doesn't matter. I like anyone who likes to live life to the fullest. And always remember, friends will post your bail, but a REAL friend will be sitting next to you in the cell saying, "Damn, that was fun!"
Hmmm.....where to start? Gothic, Alternative, Grunge, Experimental, Industrial, Techno, Hardcore, Electro, Punk, Rock, some Rap, a little Jazz and Classical, and just a touch of Country. You can find some of my favorites in my friends list. Wait, did I leave out Pop? GOOD!!!
Okay, long-list-of-movies time!!! The Day After Tomorrow, Dawn of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, Nightbreed (cult horror classic), Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma (All Time Favorite), Jay & Silent Bob Stike Back, Jersey Girl, Clerks 2, Within the Woods, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, Army of Darkness, Sleepy Hollow, Underworld, Hackers, Harry Potter, The 13th Warrior, Thirteen Ghosts, House on Haunted Hill (both versions), Disney's The Black Cauldron, Gothika, Clockwork Orange, Pirates of the Caribbean, Phantom of the Opera, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding (you wouldn't BELIEVE how well I identify with it).
I'm into the CSI shows. Love the science & criminalistics behind it. Also a fan of MXC, Numbers, How I Met Your Mother, and Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. My FAVORITE show, however, is Doctor Who. I can honestly say I've not missed an episode yet. Both Christopher Eccleston (the Doctor) and Billie Piper (Rose Tyler) do an excellent job on the show. It's on the Sci-Fi channel. If you haven't caught it yet, do so. It's worth it. Finally, I like to watch a lot of the original movies on the sci-fi channel. Why? Because if you're bored and the movie's bad, they are fun as hell to make fun of!
Science Fiction, Fantasy, Mystery, Horror...anything that can feed my imagination and make my mind wander. Sometimes, tho, darker is better. Stephen King is truly the master of the horror novels. But when it comes to truly gothic, dark and twisted writing, there are two who tie for the master of such: H.P. Lovecraft and Edgar Allen Poe
May sound wierd, but American McGee's Alice. For those who have played the game, you can understand. For those who haven't, it takes a lot of strength and courage to face and defeat your own inner demons. The late, great Christopher Reeve would also be up there; in spite of EVERYTHING that happened to him, he was always friendly and remained a symbol of strength and determination to all who saw him. Finally, Zack de la Rocha and Rage Against the Machine for constantly reminding us we are the ones with the power to change lives, governments and the world in general, for reminding us we should not be afraid to use that power to make things better for others as well as ourselves, and for reminding us that all we need is the courage and willingness to stand up to our leaders and governments in order to make ourselves heard and make change happen.
