About Me

..

Went to see Ennio Morricone on December the 2nd, truly a fantastic night. I thought that I might share the picture that I took right here. I was only about 6 rows from the front and got this shot which I was really happy with. (See full image: right click on the image and click 'view image')

What a fantastic night that was. Bravo Ennio!

My Interests

At the moment i aspire to become a great pixel surgen and After Effects Wizard. Hey, every onw need an intrest. I did a BA and MA in English Litrature so you would think that i read alot, but i really only can bring myself to read things that i think are worthwhile. that's not to say i dont like low-brow entertaiment... i like schlock films and 'brainless' PS2 games. just dont ask me about Harry Potter or the Davinci Code... i aint read them and i'm not going to.

I'd like to meet:

Everyone at Touch & Go check out this mini documentary and see some of the best band ever bar none... width="425" height="350" ..Yea that would be good. .

Music:

lots and lots of stuff. . . bands that i have seen recently that have blown my mind include. Don Cabelero (Jaw Droppingly Amazing) Sunn O))), EARTH, Girls Against Boys, The Pixies. Also love; Slint, shellac, Rachels, Miles Davis, John Coltrain, Philip Glass, Steve Reich, John Zorn, Bob Dylan, Jesus Lizard, June of 44, The Shipping News, Tortoise, Neubauten. BANDS I LOVE AND YOU SHOULD CHECK OUT... (if you dont know about them already) MENENDEZ, LEBATOL, THE QUILLER MEMORANDOM, DEERHOOF (oh you already know... brilliant arnt they)

Heroes:

Lenny Bruce. . . My Father. . . Alan Ginsing. . .John Locke. . . Thomas Pynchon. . . Herman Melville. . . Cormac McCarthy. . . Shellac. . . Slint. . . Don DeLillo. . . Robert Crumb. . . Paul Rothko. . . Terry Gillian... Nikos Kazantzakis (the guy who wrote The Las Temptation) These are my moral and artistic Heroes, people i admire as much for the conviction in what they do as much for the fruits of their effort. i was going to choose Nietzsche. . . but the far more Nietzschian thing to do would be to add myself as my hero, and that would seem weird. And at a shoe-in we have St Anthony. . . i dont really have christian belifes but i wanted him in there somwhere. oh yea . . . and Socrates.
