About Me

minga musica! is the latest impersonation of the ever changing composer JP Sami Buccella.
As spotted as his music education, his compositions borrow from every kind of source that he could have heard of, even in passing. His studies in film-making, ethnomusicology and his long career in punk/metal band touring add still more confusion to the unprepared listener.
Please take time to explore the different facets of his music.

You may have heard his bass/keyboard playing and/or compositions in the bands:

Influences:

"When music affects us to tears, seemingly causeless, we weep not [...] from ’excess of pleasure’; but through excess of an impatient, petulant sorrow that, as mere mortals, we are as yet in no condition to banquet upon those supernal ecstasies of which the music affords us merely a suggestive and indefinite glimpse".

E. A. Poe

“Music is more than a wife, because you can divorce a wife, but you can’t divorce music. When you marry music, she’s your love forever, and you’ll go to the grave with her.”

A. Piazzolla

"What makes me mad isn’t that what we call ’media coverage’ is usually reserved for people I personally find rather mediocre--that’s a matter of opinion, and I wish them no ill. Is that the noise, in the electronic sense, just gets louder and louder and ends up drowning up everything, until it becomes a monopoly just like the way supermarkets force out the corner stores. That the unknown writer and the brilliant musician have the right to the same consideration as the corner storekeeper may be too much to ask".
