start the end was formed in the fall of 2002 with the intent of making music that is high energy and fun to listen to with lyrics that challenge you to think. Since their first packed performance, start the end’s live show adds a dimension that can only be described as electric. With a sound that draws from so many different influences, it is undeniable that they are poised to end music as we know it now. Their heart-racing verses and melodic choruses attempt to incite a spark, whether it be mental or physical. Each and every song has a unique sound. Originality is not only a word that can describe start the end but a concept that start the end manifests through each musical composition.
Ali (guitar) and Christian (vocals) met in college and soon afterwards formed their first band, Coup d'etat. That band eventually broke up and while trying to figure out what musical direction they wanted to take, they met Jason (drums) through Christian's friend. Jason was in the band Graphic before joining. Now that these 3 integral parts of the band were meeting to create, ideas were flowing so freely that it led to the completion of each one of their songs that you are killed with now. Darius (guitars) and Tarrenze (bass) also formally of Coup d'etat, joined start the end in 2004.
Having worked with Ken Schalk, of the band Candiria, to help get the perfect sound on their two-song demo, start the end was able to get where they need to be right now. The songs chosen were “Start the End†which is the kind of fast-paced song that makes the listener want to destroy everything around them. The second song "Wait For Excuses" is the kind of song that you can't get out your head. It starts out melodic and eventually ebbs in and out of thunderous proclamations of disapproval.
The word is spreading quickly, the music is getting louder. Slowly garnering more and more people that can help to get started the end to where they deserve to be in this uncompromising world we live in. Know this...where you start, is where you end.
