Some of my background (not a complete bio by any means)
1980- I started learning how to play guitar & drums, playing in rock, metal, punk, and hardcore bands later in my middle-school and highschool years.
1988- My first DJ experience on highschool radio. The selection sucked, but I used to dig up some classic rock that was buried in all the cheesy Top 40 garbage.
1992-’93- My first DJ residencies at industrial weeklies (The Magic Bus @ Caffeine/Voodoo, Armageddon, The Milkbar). Being an industrial DJ was alot of fun at the time. Unfortunately, the demand for industrial DJs were very slim... especially in comparison to live industrial bands. But I always had the interest of spinning techno at the same time, as I was involved in both scenes.
1994- I bought my first set of turntables and started playing techno, house, acid, breaks and played several underground parties throughout the years.
1995- I started writing beats with my first drum machine.... a Boss DR-550mkII (LOL) that I eventually traded for a Korg Poly-800.
1997, ’98- Some friends of mine turned me onto ReBirth and Cubase. So I built my first computer and bought the software (which was more suitable for my budget at the time). Then I continued to buy more studio gear over the years, as I got tired of software headaches, lost music due to crashes, etc.
2007- I built the best TB-303 clone ever to be designed... the x0xb0x, which I’m currently using with some other external gear that I’ve modified and circuit-bent. Music production is more on the forefront these days. But I’m still available for DJ bookings, as well as live performances.
