Everyone loved being around Archie .... if he was able to stand on his own two feet .. he was the funniest mutha fucka you'd wanna meet. For the past 20 years Archie was a huge staple in the New York Hardcore Scene. The entire NYHC family had his back and he had theirs. Agnostic Front, Madball, Scarhead, ... the entire DMS crew, Biohazard, Life Of Agony, Warzone, Murphy's Law, Tension, CIV, and 25 Ta Life ... Rick Ta Life is always sayin how Archie introduced him to the scene. Archie loved everyone and they loved him back ...(although, at times he was misunderstood). Archie definitely lived a hard life .... shot, stabbed, metal plate in his head ... courtesy of an ax handle to the skull .. even made the front page of Newsday representin S.I.B., and had a few stints at Rikers Island as well. If you were in the scene ... you knew the legend. While I feel the great loss of a dear friend .. I also feel fortunate to have shared so many times with Big Arch. In 1994, I asked Archie to join Bile (back then it was industrial with elements of hardcore flavor) ... he really didn't want to do it ... but then he heard we would be touring and I said that the country needed to be introduced to the king of SIB ... well, throw in some free beer and promises of hummers from farmers daughters across the land and Archie suddenly became interested. That decision has left us all with stories from the road ... classic Archie! Everynight was something new ... you always knew you were gonna be entertained. A couple of weeks into the tour and the bus was wallpapered with pictures of his head next to the most vile snatch you'd ever seen. It was some funny fuckin shit. He got us kicked outta foundations forum in L.A. ... hey, didn't matter that we played there that night ... so we left and checked out Sick Of It All ... we got there and Lou Koller gave Archie his shout out .. everyone had respect for Archie. After the tour, we quit "Bile" ... which he later refferred to as Denile ... Industrial wasn't our thing. So we started a punk/Social D type thing called "Non Serviam". However, it never saw any light of day due his struggles. If anyone wants a copy of the demo .... just hit me back with a message and I'll get one out to you. I believe it's the only recording of him .. aside from his earlier hardcore band "Worlds Apart". On Thursday, April 21st 2005 ... Archie came down to our show to see us and Tension at the Crazy Donkey ... I'd never seen him happier. It was like a big reunion that night ... just a real cool vibe .... Elmo SIB, Big Craig, Eric Roi, Joe Rubino and a rare Nicky X sighting ... unfortunately, that would turn out to be our last goodbye. Although, I was fortunate enough to have the video rollin on Archie for about 10 minutes in his classic form that evening .. if anyone wants a copy of his antics .. just let me know. My prayers and deepest sympathy goes out to Crucified Pete and the Kalafatis family ..... out of everyone that I have lost in this life .... I will miss that mutha fucka the most ..... Rest In Peace my friend. - Jeff Lockdown

Here is a video we did one day just messing around in 1999, but it now takes on extraordinary meaning, especially since Archie is the main character and it deals with drugs, society and suicide.
