"Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, it's at the end of your arm, as you get older, remember you have another hand: The first is to help yourself, the second is to help others." A.HepburnFAMILY COMES FIRST. HAVING A JOB SCHEDULE THAT ALLOWS US FOR FAMILY TIME, SHOULD BE MORE IMPORTANT THAN MONEY, POWER, OR PRESTIGE. WE ALL STRUGGLE TO BALANCE WORK AND FAMILY TIME, BUT OUR FAMILIES SHOULD ALWAYS BE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST. WOMEN'S NATURAL ROLE IS TO BE A PILLAR OF THE FAMILY...HAVING SPENT YEARS WITH SO MANY DIFFERENT PEOPLE, I'M WONDERING WHAT HAPPENED TO THE REAL WOMEN. WHENCE THE WINCE?IT SEEMS UNFATHOMABLE NOW, IN ERA WHEN WOMEN OBSESS ON WIPING OUT WINCES AND REMOVING WRINKLES. THERE WAS A TIME, A LONG TIME AGO WHEN WOMEN DIDN'T ONLY TALK ABOUT SKIN. THEY TALKED ABOUT BOOKS, PLAYS AND POLITICS. IN THOSE DAYS, WE BURN OUR SKIN TO LOOK HEALTHY- KNOWING IT IS UNHEALTHY. THEN WE BURN THE SKIN TO GET RID OF SUN DAMAGE, POURING ACID ON IT OR FRYING WITH LASER TO BLOT OUT FACE AND START OVER WITH FRESH SKIN. WE ARE ADDICTED TO TIGHTENING, WHITENING AND PLUMPING EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY. IT'S AN ABSURD.
COFFEE - I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT. THERE'S NOTHING MORE DELIGHTFUL, SATISFYING THAN A CUP OF STEAMING MOCHACCINO, ESPRESSO, CAFFE LATTE (...)I LOVE TO COOK. I'VE SPEND TWO YEARS IN THE CULINARY INSTITUTE, WHICH WAS AN AMAZING AND UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE. I'VE LEARNED MANY USEFUL THINGS AND MET INCREDIBLY CREATIVE PEOPLE. WE SHOULD TREAT FOOD AS ONE OF THE PLEASURES, HAVE A GLASS OF WINE WITH DINNER. MEAL SHOULD BE AN ENJOYABLE AND SATISFYING EXPERIENCE, NOT A RITUAL."Food is one of my major vices. I like anything fattening. But having double pneumonia is a great way to lose weight." Elizabeth TaylorI TRY TO LIVE BY THESE RULES: "FEAR LESS, HOPE MORE, EAT LESS, CHEW MORE, WHINE LESS, BREATHE MORE, TALK LESS, SAY MORE,HATE LESS, LOVE MORE AND ALL GOOD THINGS WILL BE YOURS."
"Getting ahead in a difficult profession requires avid faith in yourself. That is why some people with mediocre talent, but with great inner drive, go so much further than people with vastly superior talent." Sophia Loren
