XS formed in 1982 when three Concord Carlisle High School school friends Glenn, Jeff, and Greg started jammin' together wherever and whenever they could, mostly at Jeff's house. They started jammin' on original riffs and songs. ~~ While starting out, XS didn't have a lead singer. When they played at Jeff's house and at parties, friends would take the mic and improvise what they could. Their first singer, Hank was XS' lead vocalist for awhile. Hank's first and last show was at the high school talent show. XS' friend Katie sang lead on one song at the talent show. ~~ Peter later joined as singer and the band developed a tighter, more focused sound. Peter is the lead singer on the band's only LP, Forever Never Came. ~~ XS did only a few shows locally around Concord. ~~ XS' first show at the West Concord Youth Center was opening up for the Boston band Busted Statues. The band headlined a show the West Concord Youth Center with the band Ground Zero, from Minneapolis, MN, and with another local band, Resistance, from Maynard. XS also opened a "show" for The Dirty Rotten Imbeciles in Jeff's basement. (If our memories serve us well, members of the Boston bands Stranglehold and Impact Unit came out to check out D.R.I.) ~~ Forever Never Came, XS' LP (1985) was recorded @ Blue Jay Recording Studios in Carlisle, MA. ~~ XS broke up in 1986. ~~ We hope to re-release our LP or at least make our music available in downloadable format. Thanks for listening and checking us out! (Glenn - former guitarist for XS.)Myspace Profile Tracker World Visitor Map
