About Me

Dedicated artist.www.toshfombystudios.com www.toshfombystudios.blogspot.comHaven't quite mastered how to turn those into links to make it a little easier for you. Though, check out my work and let me hear from you anyway.

My Interests

Spending time with my kids. My son is 18, so he's in his own world now but my daughter and I hang on the regular. Currently, I'm working on a body of work that will be on exhibition for a show during Women's History Month, March 2008. I enjoy writing, reading, painting, movies, walking and I'm sure other things that just won't come to mind at the moment.

Music:

Neo-Soul (Angie Stone, India.Arie) Classical (Still learning some of the artists because I've been out of the mix for a minute but hey, i think Bond is a mix of classical and pop). Jazz (Just about any of it, along with the Jazz/reggae mix). Pop (Most) Pretty much, I enjoy most music, except rock and opera.

Movies:

The Shawshank Redemption, Just Cause, Hairspray, Imitation of Life, My Big Fat Greek Wedding...That's it for now.

Television:

Girlfriends, Friends...Smart comedy, let's say that. News programs like Primetime, Dateline, 60 Minutes, etc...I enjoy documentaries and still, Leave It To Beaver and The Andy Griffin Show :-)

Books:

I am a fiction reader, primarily. Though, I do read books on history and women-related topics. Genres I read are mainstream and I enjoy romantic comedy and romantic mysteries , like those by Susan Isaacs. She's the best I've found. Amy Tan, Sidney Sheldon and there are some new authors out there I can't name right now. I'm a J. California Cooper fan too. Her literary voice is authentic and natural. I'm a comic book fan too but not a fanatic. Right now, I'm reading Love Walked In

Heroes:

Anyone who takes a stand for humanity and it doesn't necessarily have to mean feeding starving children in "third world" countries. A humanitarian can simply mean standing up for your own rights and those of others, despite everything. In a world that's so inundated with who's who and trying to keep up with the Jonses, and materialism, anyone who can simply be themselves is a hero in my book.
