I'm proud to say I had a hand in coordinating an event that was hosted by Harrison of "Harrison on the Edge" and Gandhi's grandson, Arun Gandhi. A glorious Hollywood styled, Parade for World Peace! Here is a clip from the parade:..From my love of humanity, was born the need to understand politics. I originally studied psychology and theology. There was a time when I'd only watch things like cartoons and documentaries, because I found the news far too depressing. These days I know that it's understanding and being active within politics that can make a REAL difference in everybody's life (can't beat the system, but you sure can join it as a citizen!). I play my part by writing about it as I learn about it myself, in hopes that I can somehow inspire others to get involved. My "official" blog is here . I'm wishing for an active majority that will take part by taking a few minutes here and there to do a couple of things, such as; contacting their representatives, signing petitions, attending rallies, and most importantly, VOTE. Register to VoteEducation is key and knowledge is power, but compassion and empathy save lives.Other than that......pool has always been a winning past time. Anybody care to get shhhkoooled? Outdoors almost anything, except in extreme white-girl-melting heat (FYI: Doesn't take much). The only sports I can stand to watch fall under the X-games category. Participating in them, mostly a thing of the past (gymnastics & track). I've had great fun the few times I went snow boarding, and would like to do more of that. Travel - duh! Games - only in fun! Music - double duh! My rock star man- ooohhhh yeah!!!!
People that know how to speak their minds, those that are as honest with themselves as they are with others. People that feel good in their skin, no matter how strange they may be. The open minded, curious, and activists - of course! Music and art lovers. Make me laugh, and you're golden in my book. Humor is my savior. I'm always interested in those that love and respect the art of communication. If we don't see eye-to-eye, all the better (with the exception of prejudice).I’m NOT interested in anybody that is laying in wait for a chance at me in ANY other way except friendship. Respect is key and appreciated when returned. Nor do I have care nor need for; liars, sociopaths, and the afore mentioned bigots or nihilists....DUH! Live and let live...from WAAYYY over there! Gosh.
I love the heavier, alternative stuff...but definitely dig all the funky extensions. Classics like Zepplin & Sabbath. Also into the Southern rock-ish stuff like, Steve Miller, Boston, Lynard, and the Eagles. My first ever serious music attachment was Prince. Nobody beats his funk. Although, Fishbone is ALL there on their own level. The long & short of it: Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, old Red Hot Chili Peppers, Rage Against the Machine, Beastie Boys, Everlast, Chevelle, CKY, Bjork, Morcheeba, Marcy's Playground, Blondie, Berlin, Cake, and too many other things to list. Whilst in Seattle I loved: SadHappy, BAM BAM, L7, Rhino Humpers, Dandelion Soup, and Sir-Mix-a-Lot brings me right back. My favorite while in SF would be Mingus Amongus.
This should be required for all Americans to watch:
Haven't really watched anything for a while. I'd have to say that "Law & Order" has been a long time favorite, and the only two newer shows I've found worthy of watching are, "Reaper" and I just LOVE myself some, "Women's Murder Club"!!! The only other things I really like to watch are cartoons (Angery Beavers, Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad - to keep it SHORT). I enjoy Bill Mahr when I get a chance at my friends' homes (whom have the cable thingy). Otherwise, I consider the very best in reality TV to be C-SPAN, but I watch it live via the net. I've been missing for ages: Kids in the Hall, and In Living Color- what ever happened to those days???????? Will the fun ever start again?
I like horror books- Clive Barker is the best, and no hope for the rest!!! Try "Imajica" to start your own Barker addiction, and "Weaveworld" is a close second. Besides books that are politically or socially enlightening, I'm mostly into things like: Holographic Universe, The Alchemist, Mutant Message Downunder, Ishmael, Fingerprints of the Gods; Evidence of Earth's lost Civilization, Johnathon Livingston Seagull, Illusions, and anything about Edgar Cayce. My all time favorite is "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran - which you can find in my friends - So go check it out! (It is best to start from the oldest---newest blog, in order to read it closest to the original order)

***This last one is by Red Pill Press - and they have several seriously fantastic books!!!
My mother, Wendi Anderson, Caroline Lund, Catherine Grison, Eric Perrier, Constance D'hautuille, Chris Williamson, my grandfather, my great aunt Betty B, Gabriel Hammersmith, Dr. Ruth, Loren Hutton, Prince (he did it HIS way), Emily Strange, & Happy Bunny. Most of my heroes are people I really know- friends and family. Although I have found a new one that I don't know personally, but has delivered quite a bit of inspiration:
I also have a photo album that celebrates my everyday heroes, and you will find that a few of them are my activist friends here on My Space.
