Benjamin Grimm

The Living Weapon that would later become known as Benjamin Grimm was born in Brooklyn, New York. Ben was raised by his mom and grandmother both strong independent Korean women new to the United States in the Flatbush section of Brooklyn, right around the way from Church Avenue and Prospect Park. Grimm began his journey into the world of hip hop at an early age thanks to a stepfather's love of music and a collection of old school tapes from artists such as Whodini and Big Daddy Kane. At the age of 13, Grimm packed up his bags and moved to South Korea where the hip hop scene was just beginning to blow up and began honing wicked freestyle skills and winning school talent shows and local military sponsored open mics. After once again returning to Korea in 1999, Grimm formed a group with two cousins and a friend called The Dirty Rotten Scoundrels and later became part of a larger hip hop conglomerate known as the IMA and in 2003 the group released their first independent compilation album: IMA Presents.In 2004, Grimm moved back to the United States and hooked up with emcee and current manager Renisantz. Now with Renisantz, good friend The Dead Poet and his younger brother Aztech...Grimm has formed East West Recordz and will be releasing his debut album "A History of Violence" in the near future......so keep ya eyes open and ya ears to the street cuz 2007 is the Year of the Concrete Juggernaut
