About Me

I can show you pictures, and tell you that it’s me…but what can you really know? For all you know, I could be a twelve year old Asian schoolgirl, an eighty year old man, a pulsating alien brain, a squamous mass of tentacles, a cybernetic array of tubes and wires, a desiccated corpse animated through fell necromancy…anything. The only truth you know about me is the truth that I give you, and I find that absolutely marvelous.

My Interests

Music:

...It runs the gambit, I'm an old Punk that was sucked into the whole Goth scene, but my heart's still with the old...The Damned, The Dead Kennedys, Bauhaus, Souixi and the Banshees, The Cure, The Pixies, being some of my favourites...David Bowie is a Musical God as far as I'm concerned...of the more contemporary stuff, I'm fond of Rasputina, The Dresden dolls, Hellblinki Sextet...anything that doesn't sound like the clone bands that seem to infect the airwaves these days...I'm fundamentaly ruled by my sense of humour, so I've got a soft spot for They Might Be Giants as well...I also enjoy Swing and Ragtime music...kind of a guilty pleasure of mine.

Movies:

Where to begin...I'm a big fan of the collected works of Terry Gilliam(Time Bandits, Brazil...Fear and loathing in Las Veagas, etc.) As well as Tim Burton and Animation by Miazaki. The Secret of NIMH(by Don Bluth) is one of my Favourite animated films(a heartwarming tale about mutant rats) But I LOVE B-Movies...the cheesier the better...don't get me wrong, I appreciate good art...but sometimes the crap is just more fun for me...

Television:

I'm a Sci-Fi geek I'm afraid...Doctor Who, The X-Files, Stargate SG1, being among my faves...I'm fond of animation as well, the Adult Swim programs amuse me...Venture Brothers, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Beebop, and Trigun...My guilty pleasures include high camp programs like Buffy the Vampire Slayer(and I admit I had the hots for willow thank you very much)

Books:

I'll just list a few authors for now and flesh it out later...H.P. Lovecraft, C.S. Lewis, L. Frank Baum, T.S. Elliot, Oscar Wilde, Hermes Tristmagistis, Ray Bradbury, Louis Carroll...did I leave anyone out? I'll double check with the philosophers about the spelling of their names...you see I have the spelling skills of a sixteenth century man.
