Brandon Hawkins, stage name Zamoe, was born June 9, 1982 and is the son of songwriter/poet Danis Hawkins who is first cousin to the famed Jackson Family. The 25-year-old phenom has an intense head on approach and is ready to stake his claim in the entertainment biz. Zamoe says "I want to be involved in every aspect of the entertainment industry from music, acting, modeling to hosting parties and red carpet events.Although unsigned at the moment, Zamoe has had meetings with several major labels. Zamoe says, “I want to go with a label that’s driven, goal oriented, and one that will help me to grow and grab the industry by the balls ha-ha.”For Zamoe, having such a talented family as relatives is more of a responsibility rather than a privilege. Growing up in the hood of south Phoenix, Zamoe has a ruff polish with ingénue appeal; the budding artist feels he is ready for the industry.When asked where he wants to go musically Zamoe says, “I don’t see myself confined to just one style of music. I see myself doing everything from Hip-Hop, R&B, Rock, Alternative, to Acoustic. I love all avenues of music."I was amazed at the determination of this young artist to appeal to the masses: “I want my music to reach people from all walks of life.” Zamoe continues, “The style I’m creating is unique because of my versatility and willingness to try new things.” Zamoe’s approach is industry savvy and at the same time has the right screws loose to grab the attention of this generation.Zamoe is currently writing and producing tracks with Cousin Myron aka “Supliya” Gaines, whose father has written songs for Earth, Wind, & Fire, The Commodores, The Isley Brothers and many other 70’s soul legends.
