Born October 17, 1986 DeAngelo -TOMMY STAXX- McClendon was raised by his grandparents and single mother in Massillon, Ohio. Living under the same roof with practically his entire immediate family, STAXX decided his family deserved more than what they had and would be the one to make sure that happens and by making it out the hood. By only playing the cards he was dealt, he felt that music would be the tool used for gaining prosperity and success. Although, TOMMY STAXX has always shown high promise in music, he did not start writing raps until he turned 15 years old. From that point, TOMMY STAXX was featured on at least 1 mix tape every year for 5 years around Ohio including mix tapes hosted by DJ E-V and producer 314. Also, he has done shows opening for acts such as Mike Jones, Juelz Santana, and Jibbs making him one of the most known rappers in his area. Then at the age of 19, he decided to link forces with another monster rap artist in his area by the name of Darian -P. STARKS- McGuire, and formed the high-talented Duo tha CRIME STARZ. Growing stronger lyrically song by song, he decided to grind as part of CRIME STARZ, as well as a solo rapper. Working with local super producers such as James-314-Ball and Yessur Productions, TOMMY STAXX is well on his way to becoming one of the biggest names from OHIO. His style is versatile as he switches from political to street, and/or storyteller to punch line rapper which gives him the perfect mesh of a MC. TOMMY STAXX's style is influenced by the greats such as NOTORIOUS B.I.G., JAY-Z, and LIL WAYNE as well as the freestyle savvy flow of his partner in crime, P. STARKS.
