Influences: Early on Paul liked Bob Dylan. Jeff liked to sniff airplane glue. It went downhill from there.
Sounds Like: If you took Bob Dylan , John Lennon , Frank Zappa , and Rodger Waters - drug them across 3 decades of time allowing them to pick up bits and pieces of the reflective musical styles of those time periods and then shook out a piece of music you'd have something in the same vein as burntchurchtheopera.
