About Me

CURIOUS ALEX
is currently an acoustic/vocal based noise project which mixes flavoursome blends of emotional song writing based upon past and present life experience.. The music is simple yet strong and hypnotic. Listen to it too long and you might go into a psychedelic coma causing tremendous euphoria. The lyrical content is blunt and from deep within the heart and soul. Exhibiting a mix of love, pain, hurt, politics, hope, happiness and the ever changing story that is life. From an early age Alex has been intrigued by the creative arts. Spending most of his childhood touring around various theatres across the UK being given duties such as sound teching, stage managing and most important of all.. making tea. After picking up a Hofner bass guitar at the age of 14 and putting it down again at the age of 15. Alex then discovered a guitar with six strings and had the opportunity to write melodies and lyrics over simplistic chord progressions. It was about another year on when he joined a band and did various rock shows in his hometown, which brought together swarms of drunken teens dancing and fighting in tiny dirty venues. After the summer of 2004, Alex left his hometown with his acoustic Guild and travelled to London with the hope of gaining more experience and the aspiration that he might one day be able to share his music with the world.Between then and now. Alex has worked with lots of different bands and played many live shows. He has done showcases for the likes of SXSW (Texas), MIDEM (France) and has had a track in the Sunday Express newspaper. He has been well fed; not eaten; well travelled; stuck in a room; hurt; loved; happy; depressed; sober and off his tree. He is currently at The Academy Of Contemporary Music perfecting his art, meeting new people and building his musical repertoire.
