My Homelands
I'm female, I'm 32 years old (1st Sep.'75). I was born in Liverpool, UK. My mother is from Morocco, and my father was from Yemen. I have one brother aged 37, he was also born in Liverpool. I have no sisters. I'm currently in a relationship with a lovely man named Roger, we have been together since February, he lives in Carmarthenshire, he is very much older than myself, but age is irrelevant. He plays in a folk music group, and has been playing acoustic guitar for many decades. He was born in London but he grew up in Hereford, he now lives in Carmarthenshire... Anyways, I love CRASS (the band), I been into them since I was 13 years old, theyre one my fave bands ever, and always will be. Other fave bands & artists are Christy Moore (Irish folk), the Pixies & Frank Black, I been into the Pixies since I was 14 years old, also the Talking Heads & David Byrne, Gong, Jethro Tull, Captain Beefheart, etc. I love folk music, jazz, 80's hip-hop, and 70's punk. I love Lewis Black (comedian), I been into Lewis for many years, he's so fuckin funny, clever, and gorgeous. Here's more info about me, I repair computers, and I also do some satellite TV repairs & programming (not Sky). But one of the best jobs I did in my life was back in 1998, when I worked in Yemen in a political newspaper called the Yemen Times, I was a journalist/reporter, it was a great job, but a dangerous one, as I've known of a few Yemeni journalists disappearing because of something they may have wrote about their government, I'm suprised I didnt disappear, what with me and my big mouth telling it like it is back then. It was the only newspaper in Yemen to be entirely in English, all the other newspapers are in Arabic. The Yemen Times building was next to the Palestinian Embassy (as you can see the picture below, the Palestinian Embassy in Sana'a, Yemen's capital). I left that job when my editor was murdered. Anyways, more info about me, I love cats, I only have one cat at the moment, her name is Thomasina. I'm a smoker (unfortunetly) and I drink coffee all day ! I like playing football/soccer. I also like playing snooker/pool. I like writing, poetry, thoughts, etc, and I love art. I love Steve Irwin and his programmes, been into him for a long time (I miss him very much). I'm a big Adidas collector, only old skool style though, I've always been like that since I was a kid. I have a great sense of humour, I love laughing and making others laugh (within reason) and I love being silly, I'm a crazy, funny, profound, angry, political fuck. I love stand-up comedy, I reckon I'd be a great comedian. My humour is a mixture of absurdity, childishness, and sarcasm, very satirical. I play chess with no pieces. I shout so loud the whole world shakes. I quote stuff that hasnt even been said yet, and I read books with no words, its more fun that way (only joking of course). I use bad language quite a lot, like its the normal thing to do, not to offend people, its just the way I talk. I'm a lifetime supporter of the Palestinian struggle and freedom in the Middle East. I dislike people who pretend to be friendly, but really theyre thinking "I wish this person would fuck off", but what they dont realise is that we know theyre just pretending to be friendly. Why not just be honest ? I dislike people who are narrow minded, and people who are not willing to learn anything about truth other than what their media tells them, theyre desperately misinformed. The only honest man to have ever entered Parliament. Guy 'Guido' Fawkes was a genius, too bad he didnt finish the job. I've always felt this way since I was a child, when my friends used to celebrate the 5th November, I used to question them why, but they didnt understand, they only understood what adults wanted them to understand, everyone celebrates Guy Fawkes' death, but I was the complete opposite, I learned about him and his cohorts when I was a child at school, teachers obviously tell kids the fake story, but I knew the real story, and I was fascinated, and I still am.
After all, this country doesnt seem like a democracy anyways.
