Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came and died on the cross as the final sacrifice for the sins of humanity. Three days later Jesus rose from the dead, thereby proving his diety, and enabling us to be saved through His name. Jesus will rapture His church, then later return for His millenial rule on Earth. There will be an ultimate Day of Judgment where all will be individually judged and rewarded. The doomed will be eternally damned in the literal Lake of Fire, and the redeemed will enter Heaven as their eternal home.
All of us need help at one time or another, but too many people look for the answers to their problems in the wrong places.
The prophet Jeremiah said, "O LORD, I know the way of man is not in himself; It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps." --Jeremiah 10:23
And the prophet Isaiah said, "To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." --Isaiah 8:20
In other words, if we're going to find answers and help for our life's troubles, we are not going to find it within ourselves or on our own. We must go to God's Word (the law and the testimony!) the only true source of authoritative instructions from the Creator Himself!
Conversion or "to be born again" are terms from the bible which sounds strange in the ears of many people. Many people think they have no need for conversion. Conversion, according to them, is only for people who live very bad lives. Jesus declared however: every man (person) must be born again; because otherwise they cannot see or enter the kingdom of God - John 3:3. The bible says that no one is righteous and that every man has turned away from God. That is the reason why you experience so little of God. There is a big wall of sins between you and God, which can only be removed when you accept Gods forgiveness. Some people say: "I am a Catholic; I believe and I was baptised as a child. Every Sunday I go to church, I try to be good to others and God finds that sufficient!". But ... how does God see it?
Jesus says that many people will come before His throne and they will say that they have been christians in their lifetime. They will tell Him of all the things they did for him. But He will answer them: "Not every one who says to me; Lord, Lord!, will enter the kingdom of heaven". The bible teaches us that no one will be justified by doing good works, but we will be saved by His grace.
Other people say: "This life is only a learning process, in a next life I'll do better, until I become a good person and then ....". The bible says clearly that man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.
You must realize that you cannot blame God for the problems in your life and in the world. It is not God who reigns over this world. Since the first people fell into sin God withdrew His hands from this world and man walks in darkness. Only when you repent, God will pull you out of the darkness into the light.
God loves you and wants to help you. Jesus shed his blood on the cross, He payed the price for our sins. God layed the sins of the world upon Him. He payed for us the debt we had towards God. That's why the bible says also: The only way we can be saved is ... by accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour. The only thing we have to do is put our pride aside, admit that we have sinned and accepting Jesus as our personal Saviour and Lord. God made the first step towards us, when He sent Jesus to die for our sins. It's our choice to accept this offer.
I like to meet open minded people, with a sense of humor, that like to have fun, People that are passionate about what they do. Every being has something to teach you.
I like to meet other Christians, I love fellowship with believers and sharing the love of God with anyone else.
I like to meet people who dare to be themselves. God creates us unique. We live in a world where we are conditioned to act in a certain way, that's just so sad, but God wants us to be free so he can sort us out. So be yourself. People who are sincere will love you anyway!
The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17: "Therefor, if anyone is in Christ, he is new creation; the old has gone the new has come!". This is what it means "to be born again".
Naturally, conversion is not just a simple prayer you can say just before you die. Conversion is a decision you make to serve God. We crucify our old life and then we start a new life with Jesus.
Maybe you say: "I am not ready yet, perhaps when I am older o when I get into serious problems". I want you to know; you will never be ready. The bible says: When you hear the word don't harden your hearts, but choose today whom you will serve.
Jesus Christ can become a reality in your life. He can take away lonelyness and give purpose to your life; With Him we never have to be lonely again. He knows us, He understands us, only He can help us. What you can do is open your heart and let Him in. Jesus revealed: "Here I am, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me." (Revelation 3:20)
I want to challenge you to go and pray to God, so He can reveal the truth to you. Jesus declared that he who seeks shall find, and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
If you really want to get saved, but you don't know how. Pray this prayer to God:
"Lord Jesus, I come to You. I admit that I have sinned and wandered away from you. I want to ask you to forgive me and to cleanse me with your blood. I want to ask You to come into my heart to stay and to do a miracle in my life. From this moment I want to do Your will. I thank you for being my saviour. All this I pray in Jesus'name".
Salvation
Salvation is initiated by a prayer of faith in Jesus.
Salvation is completed by God's grace.
Salvation is maintained by a lifestyle of Biblical righteousness.
Salvation is demonstrated by works.
Salvation is lost when we sin and do not repent.
Salvation is necessary to enter Heaven in eternity.
Water Baptism
Water Baptism was exemplified by Christ.
Water Baptism is not necessary to be saved, but is definitely an important Christian experience not to be negated.
Water Baptism is a public demonstration of faith in Jesus Christ.
Water Baptism is executed in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
Holy Spirit Baptism
Holy Spirit Baptism is evidenced by speaking in tongues.
Holy Spirit Baptism is an experience different and distinct from Salvation or Water Baptism.
Here are some scriptures to help those who may be struggling with bitterness and anger.
Bitterness is a sin. Therefore, to be healed of bitterness requires us to repent.
Acts 8:22-23 "Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you. 23 "For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity."
Bitterness is not something that possesses us. We can choose to put it away (otherwise this scripture could not have been written...).
Ephesians 4:31-5:2 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ forgave you. 1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.
God healed the bitter waters of Marah when Moses threw in a tree. The bitter waters of your heart can be healed with the Cross of Christ (i.e. dying to self, excusing the sins of others against ourselves).
Exodus 15:23-25 Now when they came to Marah, they could not drink the waters of Marah, for they [were] bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah. 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?" 25 So he cried out to the LORD, and the LORD showed him a tree. When he cast [it] into the waters, the waters were made sweet...
Christ took the spirit of bitterness to the cross, and through his strength so can you!
Psalm 69:21 They also gave me gall for my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink. (NKJV)
John 19:29-30 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put [it] on hyssop, and put [it] to His mouth. 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
Here are some scriptures to help those who may be struggling with depression.
Christ knows how you feel...
Psalm 69:20-21 Reproach has broken my heart, And I am full of heaviness; I looked [for someone] to take pity, but [there was] none; And for comforters, but I found none. 21 They also gave me gall for my food, And for my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
God's Word gives strength and and joy...
Psalm 119:28 My soul melts from heaviness; Strengthen me according to Your word.
Part of Christ's mission is the healing of the depression...
Isaiah 61:1-3 "The Spirit of the Lord GOD [is] upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to [those who are] bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."
Strength over depression can be found in the joy of the Lord when you put your trust in God...
Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for [this] day [is] holy to our LORD. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength."
Here are some scriptures to help those who may be struggling with drugs and alcohol.
Stay away from those who are doing drugs and alcohol...
Psalm 1:1 Blessed [is] the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Don't tempt yourself, and understand that there are consequences to intoxication...,
Proverbs 23:31-32 Do not look on the wine when it is red, When it sparkles in the cup, [When] it swirls around smoothly; 32 At the last it bites like a serpent, And stings like a viper.
Fill your heart with God's spirit, not the "spirits" of this world...
Ephesians 5:18 And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit.
Here are some scriptures to help those who may be struggling with sexual sin.
The root of sexual sin lies with a problem in the heart--or character--of a person...
Matthew 15:19 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies."
God sees lust in the heart as sexual sin...
Matthew 5:28 "But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
You must realize that sexual sin is dangerous, and even deadly...
Proverbs 23:27 For a harlot [is] a deep pit, And a seductress [is] a narrow well.
Christ is willing to forgive, but you must stop committing the sin...
John 8:10-11 When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?"
11 She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more."
