About Me

check out these sites!
www.farmsanctuary.org (my heroes!!)
www.veganoutreach.org/starterpack (great for starters)
what's wrong with DAIRY & EGGS? find out: http://www.veganoutreach.org/whyvegan/animals.html
and check out these videos!
by far the easist video to watch: www.themeatrix.com (this animated matrix spoof will introduce you to the issues of factory farming without making you upchuck)
Pig Farm Investigation: www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=pigfarminv (star of babe, james cromwell, narrates this undercover video)
Meet Your Meat: www.petatv.com/tvpopup/prefs.asp?video=mym2002 (the infamous "meet your meat." this covers most of factory farming cruelty)
Fur Farm Investigations: www.petatv.com/tvpopup/Prefs.asp?video=fur_farm (this is very graphic and disturbing. boycott fur!!!)
---i promise to accept anyone's choice. but before a REAL choice is actually made we have a responsibility to investigate the facts and reasons behind it. if you want to eat meat, of course you can in this society. but you only ever make a choice to eat meat and support animal exploitation after you have taken an active part in understanding what it is that you are supporting. there is no choice when actions are born out of our ignorance of an issue, or by deliberately avoiding certain aspects of a system. you don't need me to tell you that what goes on in factory farms is disgusting, and that billions of animals die every year for no good reason. you can decide this for yourself, but only after you take the step to learn more. feel free to ask me any questions!!!---
i accept death as a part of life, not as a purpose for it.

---some of my favorite quotes for the animals---
The question is not, "Can they reason?" nor, "Can they talk?" but rather, "Can they suffer?"
~Jeremy Bentham
When a man wantonly destroys one of the works of man we call him a vandal. When he destroys one of the works of god we call him a sportsman.
~Joseph Wood Krutch
A Robin Redbreast in a cage Puts all Heaven in a Rage.
~William Blake, Auguries of Innocence
As long as people will shed the blood of innocent creatures there can be no peace, no liberty, no harmony between people. Slaughter and justice cannot dwell together.
~Isaac Bashevis Singer
If a group of beings from another planet were to land on Earth -- beings who considered themselves as superior to you as you feel yourself to be to other animals -- would you concede them the rights over you that you assume over other animals?
~George Bernard Shaw
Until he extends the circle of compassion to all living things, man will not himself find peace.
~Albert Schweitzer
It is not THIS bloodshed, or THAT bloodshed, that must cease; but ALL bloodshed - all wanton infliction of pain or death.
~Henry Salt
I am in favour of animal rights as well as human rights. That is the way of a whole human being.
~Abraham Lincoln
The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated.
~Mohandas Gandhi
A human being is a part of a whole, called by us "universe", a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings as something separated from the rest... a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.

Nothing will benefit human health and increase chances of survival for life on earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.
~Albert Einstein
