Still Waiting

Unfashionable Indie Rock Band

About Me

In 2002, Jonathan Distaster (formerly of Magnetic Trigger, Chainlink Disaster) started a band called Waiting For Bruce Willis. The band, whose name was inspired by the then recent 9/11 terrorist attack, wrote inspiring, hearfelt indie tunes that received praise from the local music scene. However the band didn't last long and broke up. Several local musicians asked that Jon press on with the material and after enough pressing, Jon began playing the Waiting For Bruce Willis material under the new name, Still Waiting. After several line up changes, the band in it's current form, found it's most chemistry and have been writing nonstop. They just released the 5-song e.p. intitled "White Rooms Seem Bigger", featuring some of the Waiting For Bruce Willis material. The band is currently playing live with a mixture of new and old material and writing songs that will be on the forthcoming l.p. due out before the end of the year........................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ...update: we have decided to put up on myspace something we did one day when jon didn't show up for practice. brett had been recording the night before on one of his graveyard shift sessions and still had his two mics and his Compaq pc in his van. we thought we might as well have a recording of the new songs. it came out pretty nice. could have used louder guitar at times, but i'm the guitarist. jon came to my place later and we did the vocals just to have these demos for ourselves. the idea was to really record these songs for a full length and have these as something to critque before the real recording. however, we are no longer writing new material. the band has split up. we will be doing a few shows here n' there. afterall we played two of the songs featured here live only once. the "Vampires demo" was something jon and i did to show the other guys a long time ago. we wanted to see how it sounded before spending and wasting times to all learn it with the few practices we get a month. we couldn't decide whether we liked it or not. that's programmed drums i did. it sometimes fools some one. we may record these all one day. and except for the Vampires one, you should here them live in the upcomming shows. take it easy and thanks for the support kids.-dAVID of still waiting
