We built our future on shaky ground

The Missing Lincolns first got national attention with their slot on the Coca Cola LivenLocal tour in 2004, followed by some scorching hit-and-runs on Melbourne and Sydney. They still make their home in the rich soil of the ACT live music scene, their sound indelibly influenced by the dizzying array of styles and sounds on offer in the nations capital. Forming in 2002, their attention-grabbing live set soon evolved geometrically into something truly original. Their lo-fi home recordings didnt take long to reach the right ears, the band tripping to St Kilda to cut their studio debut, Deliver Us, in late 2004.The songs make you dance, first and foremost, but these cats have something to say as well. Big ideas ride mass-market chord changes, poetic explorations of the pop idiom hide in plain sight on a bed of balls-out entertainment. More specific? Think the Hoodoo Gurus in a fistfight with the Wu-Tang Clan over your mortal soul. Only better. The Lincolns are coming.
