..Inspiration: My Mom was and still is my inspiration, she taught me how to sing at a very young age. Our family used to sing together..I am the only one who kept pursuing my dreams....I have always wanted to be a famous singer at a very young age. My Mom and Dad are my heroes...they taught me how to hang in, when times are tough...never to give up..my mom was diagnosed with Lymphomia cancer about 19 years ago...she was only given 2 months to live ..she has been in remission since....a walking miracle ....my dad was there by her side...I dedicated one of my songs "Til Death Do Us Part" to them...I lost my dad on 01/10/2006 to lung cancer....my mom was there for him...this is why I keep moving forward with my dreams... they have inspired me to....Never Give Up!!

She sang in her hometown church whenever she was given the opportunity. It was then, she realized this was her hearts desire to share her God given talent with the world, which also led to performing in local and state fairs, weddings, events of all kinds and singing the National Anthem for minor league baseball games.
In 1986, she received the talent award for the Miss T.E.E.N. Pageant. More recently, she participated in and won numerous vocal contests locally and have sung with various gospel groups and bands in and around her hometown.
In August 2006, Brenda was selected to perform in the "Nashville Music Network Showcase", held at "The Gibson" in Nashville, TN. November 2006 she was selected to participate in the "USA World Showcase" in Las Vegas, Nevada, held at the "MGM Grand Hotel" and she placed first female vocalist in her division. She was aired on PAX TV.May 2007, Brenda had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem for the WNBA at the Verizon Center in Washington, DC. In July 2007, Brenda auditioned for the "Colgate Country Showdown" and was selected as one of the twelve (out of 60 auditions) to participate. She placed 4th.
