About Me

Cool MySpace layouts available at Tower Codes
MySpace profile was edited with Tower Codes

I'm a big kid. I'm a free thinking, intelligent, independent, hard headed, open minded, mostly happy and patient (usually) INDIVIDUAL.

Most times, I couldn't give two flyin' flips what anyone else thinks.

My family and friends are very important to me.

I'm indecisive yet purposeful.

I see people as amazing creatures, yet I'm usually perplexed about why they are the way they are.

I spend more time "realizing" than I do "thinking". I do my best "realizing" when I'm down or have been hurt.

I can see someone elses situations very clearly, but my own become clouded due to the fact that I follow my heart more than my head.

My job requires that I be very personable and outgoing. My nature is to be very shy. I am both. It's dependent on the situation.

I've had some pretty horrible things happen in my life, but I see them as "part of me" now. I accept them as events that molded who I am to this point in my life. I'm a good person and I know that. If you don't like the way I am, you can, pretty much, piss off.

I own a matching chrome toaster and bread box.

I have a sweet tooth that just won't quit.

My desk usually needs straightening.

I love "toys" that run on gas, electricity or batteries.

I carry a Shubb capo in my left front pocket 24/7.

I'm afraid of butane lighters and refuse to even let someone else light my cigarette with one. I use Zippo's exclusively. If there is no Zippo around, I use matches. If there are no matches, I don't smoke.

My father's name is Ned and everybody calls him "Bud". I've often wondered why. Isn't a nickname usually an attempt at shortening your proper name??

My sister and her family live in Oregon. It's too damn far away.

My mother lives in Albuquerque. Only half as far, but still not close enough, damnit!!

I think it's attractive when younger women have "old school" names like Martha, Margaret, Gladys, Helen, Edith, Jackie, Ellen, Phyllis, Dorothy, Beatrice or Priscilla.

I hate digital watches and I love digital cameras.

I love really ANGRY music and I live for acoustic music. Songwriters are my heroes.

For the record, I DO NOT have a drinking problem ............ I have a stopping problem!!!

I have a constant craving for a beer I can't buy here. If anyone knows where I can get some Sleeman's Cream Ale in the Southeastern U.S., please let me know. I'll pimp my sister for this information!!! I'm down to my last two six packs. Blargh!!

all for now.

My Interests

Welp ............. motorcycles, obviously.

I've done it since I was 7. Honestly, I don't remember what I did before I rode. It's one of the reasons I refuse to give up living in East Tennessee. The roads in the area are some of the best in the country, if not in the world. I want to ride Europe someday, but time and money will probably get in my way. I won't give up the dream though. I also want to do a "four corners" trip around the U.S. someday.

I love music of all types ....... especially live. I try to make every Sundown in the City that I can. There are some REALLY good "local/regional" artists that play around Knoxville quite a bit.

I've also recently picked my guitars up again after years of allowing them to collect dust. I'm currently working on perfecting enough material to hit up a few open mic nights and maybe even bust out some original stuff for singer/songwriter night at Preservation Pub or some other venue someday soon.

I'd like to meet:

Alive: Evel Knievel, Valentino Rossi, Paully Shore, Warren Haynes, Annie Lennox, Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes
Audrey Tautou (I wonder what it would take to get her to paint blue arrows on the stairs for me?)

Not so alive: Edgar Allen Poe, John Hartford, Ray Charles and MLK.

Or are they asking me what kind of person I'd like to meet through here to befriend/hang out/do things with? If that's the case, just don't be a lemming, be intelligent and know who YOU are. Have a semi coherent grasp of what's going on around you and DON'T TAILGATE ME!!!!

If you're a rider and stopped by here to meet like minded people ........ check out The East Tennesse Riders. It's a local group of mature, very responsible, safety conscious sport and sport touring riders. Some very fast and some not so very fast, but a fine community of motorcyclists from all ages, races, sexes, creeds and styles of bikes. If you have a sec, stop by and check out my buddy, D. Canon: A.K.A. Killboy!!! , as well. Super guy and a very talented two wheeled motorsports photographer.

Television:

I own a TV and have cable, but I NEVER watch it. If it weren't for motorcycle racing, I would never turn it on. I watch World MotoGP, 125 and 250 GP, AMA Supercross and Outdoor Nationals, FIM World Superbike, AMA Superbike and a few others. I know this sounds like a lot, but it makes up only about 2-3 hours a week of television(during seasons). I really dig chillin' 'n watchin' a movie, but I'm NOT a couch potato!!!!

Books:

Uncle John's Legendary Lost Bathroom Reader
