About Me

People & Places I love in pictures...57 years old and happily married for 23 years. Our two sons are grown and living their lives. Both are intellegent and interesting young men with lots of hobbies and interests. Born in South Alabama, been playing guitar since the age of 15. Dropped out of Graduate school at the University of Alabama after getting a degree in braodcasting and film communications. Played in bands for years and years. Playing solo these days and spend time when I can jamming with lots of musical friends. Have been in a few movies as an extra, that's always fun. I was the daytime bartender at the Hole in the Wall in Austin for 18 years and worked there prior to being a bartender. I am now the day manager at Poodies Hilltop Bar & Grill in Spicewood, Tx. I love my job and I meet lots of interesting people. As Poodie says, there are no bad days out here. Looking forward to all that lies ahead, having a lot of fun writing songs, playing my guitar and connecting with new and old friends. Hoping to meet artists interested in my songs, as I have been writing for thirty years and have many songs that someone just might need. My partner Dave and I also co-wrote many songs for female singers. I play occasionally at Poodies Hilltop. MORE ABOUT BROOKS...he is not only a bartender & songwriter, but also a story-teller, a humorist, an actor, counselor and so much more. He's silly and serious and sometimes silent. He's a husband, a dad, an uncle and brother and a very good friend to many. He has friends from one end of the country to the other and beyond. Brooks is most happy at home with his family, friends and his guitar. This profile was made at Whateverlife.com! :)
