I am Reggie Colalongo, a full time artist and instructor as well as founder of ArtByReggie.com..My love for art began as a child with my first visit to the Philadelphia Art Museum. As I grew older that love was nurtured and refined by Artist Rebecca Tait, whom I studied under for many years.Her guidance and support led me to the Creative And Performing Arts High School of Philadelphia where I majored in Visual Studio Arts and received several scholarships to attend specialized fine art classes at the University of the Arts and Moore College of Art.After high school, that love of art - that I was telling you about - was challenged. Uncertainty overcame me. I enrolled in Camden County College and kept my options opened. I dabbled in English, Psychology, Philosophy, and Anthropology but ultimately couldn’t deny my need to create art.After receiving my Associate Degree in Fine Arts I was accepted into the Fine Arts program at Rutgers University, where I interned and studied under internationally renowned artists and got a taste of the art world.Following graduation in May of 2006, I embarked on various art related jobs - from interior faux finishing to stained glass fabrication - before committing full time to my own business.Today, I am a professional artist, instructor, and independent business woman. I pour all my energy into my paintings and every class I teach.
