Extreme sports ( ie. wakeboarding, trail running, gay bowling ), text messeging, making nice things out of crap, straight night with my best buddies, arthouse movies at the Drafthouse, organizing things cause I'm good at it, furniture shopping, games that only 8 years olds should play, Levis and Chuck Taylors, cleaning the apartment to a wailing Celine Dion, people watching, dancing till I've lost 5 pounds in water weight and big bowls of queso.
Jesus, Madonna and a couple of porn stars come to mind. I am notoriously fickle and don't think I've ever had a specific person I would like to meet. So, instead I'm going to talk about my favorite food. My favorite food is an Earth Grains honey wheat bagel with a slice of spicy turkey, swiss cheese, second slice of spicy turkey, swiss cheese, third slice of spicy turkey, Claussen's Sandwich Sliced Kosher Dill Pickles, dijon mustard smeared on the top half of the bagel and warmed in the microwave for 20 seconds. Bon appetite !!!There's also a salad with chicken, corn and jalapeno ranch that I'm particularly fond of making ... but its a secret.View All Friends | View Blog
Janet's The Velvet Rope is and always will be hot. The Dave Matthews Band will always be timeless. Princess Superstar is super fun, Air and Andy Caldwell are kinda chill, and Tonic's Lemon Parade is the best roadtrip CD ever. Rihanna is some really good high quality pop. Have a girl crush on Tori Amos, Shirley Manson and Roisin Murphy. Have a boy crush on Adam Levine of Maroon 5, but who doesnt! Basement Jaxx, Sander, Oakenfold, Tiesto, Sasha and Timo Maas are all good mind warping staples. If ya don't know who Lily Allen is, she comes highly recommended. Allyson Calagna, Peter Rauhofer and Brett Henrichsen are all just brilliant at doing what they do best !
Turn off your cell phones and leave your screaming kids at home. Movies are something I take very seriously. I like a lot of obscure subtitled arthouse flicks, but most of them are in Japanese and I can't spell any of their names. I'm in the movie theater almost daily right before the Academy Awards. If I had to pick some of my all time favorites ... The Color Purple, Dangerous Liasions, Good Will Hunting, 9 to 5, Crash, The Shawshank Redemption, GO, Donnie Darko, The Birdcage, The Eyes of Tammy Faye and Drop Dead Gorgeous to name a few !!!
Golden Girls is timeless, Heroes and LOST, Project Runway and Nip Tuck, The Daily Show is brilliant, Letterman and Ferguson, never Leno or O'Brian, Mythbusters, Dogg the Bounty Hunter, and Intervention now that I can afford cable, I think I finally outgrew Yugi-Oh and traded up for Family Guy, Will and Grace in the pre-Leo seasons, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Sex in the City may they both rest in peace !!!
Reading is a something new I only recently adopted as a past time. Books used to put me to sleep faster than a valium chased with a couple of Miller Lites. My catalog consisted of nothing more than Marvel Comics, Entertainment Weekly and The Abercrombie Catalog. Im proud to say I've overcome my aversion and feel better for it. Any book by Chuck Palahniuk you'll enjoy reading, but feel dirty and twisted after your done. The Walmart Effect by Charles Fishman is an eye opener, and not completely one-sided. David Sedaris is pretty funny, but not as memorable as his sister's appearences on Strangers with Candy or The Late Show with David Letterman. I'm working on A Clockwork Orange, but damn its a tough read ! I gave it up for the Watchmen by Moore and Gibbons ... its not just a comic book !!!
The ones who know my devious past, and still call me in the morning for brunch ... you know who you are !!!
