I'm a down-to-earth, usually laid-back (I'll admit a little high-maint at times, but what woman isn't) smart, fun, occasionally lazy, sometimes crazy, natural blonde (w/low lights) with an in-your-face, corny, sarcastic sense of humor (if you "get" Jenny McCarthy, then you'll probably "get" me), and the potential to be a total bitch if properly provoked.

I'm close to my large & slightly dysfunctional family... my 'lil brother is one of my best friends. I love dressing up for a night out downtown, but I also enjoy drinking beer with the locals at neighborhood dives. I have an appreciation for classic literature and the arts, however I am personally much more interested in pop culture.

I grew up in East TX near a lake... I guess some folks consider me a tomboy - I know why they punt on 4th down, what RBI stands for, what birdies & bogeys are, and I dig top-fuel dragsters... go team Kalitta! (I'm perplexed, however, as to why Viagra sponsors a race car...) I know what a limited slip differential does. I can tow a boat with a stick shift, but I still need to learn how to back the darn trailer up!

I'm no supermodel, but I feel better when I look nice, so I usually make the effort. I'll never be one of those birkenstocks-n-socks types who thinks physical attraction is overrated... One of my fave quotes is "Spandex is a privilege, not a right!" Most folks I meet don't believe I'm in my 30s - I wonder if thats 'cuz of my appearance or attitude?

Also, it's important to know that I'm a "friends first" kind of gal... ~MY GUY? Well, if I could build my very own custom-made boyfriend (read: if I had that "Weird Science" pc - ha ha, I wish) he'd have a good sense of humor, a confident & outgoing personality (I find wit & a hint of cockiness appealing, I'm a bit sassy myself), pride in appearance & a sense of style, and he must love the water as much as I do!

Common interests are important to me... Someone who wants me to hang out with him & "the guys" cuz we have fun together! I like a guy who'll dress up for Halloween or throw a suprise bday party or send flowers for no reason 'cuz he realizes that lil displays of affection go a long way (underneath my tough exterior, I'm really a softie.) I'm a sucker for a tall, fit, attentive man with bright eyes, a winning smile and a tan. Oh, and a creatively romantic streak doesn't hurt either.

On a bit more serious note, faithfulness, patience, and empathy are important qualities... If you're looking for the "perfect woman" just keep right on looking! (been there, tried to be that... it didn't work.) I'd like to establish a long-term relationship with someone who would rather appreciate the pros than dwell on the cons (let's face it, in the real world there's always cons.)

I tend to have more in common with guys close to my age or a bit younger... I'm not lookin' for a sugardaddy. (The things that truly make life worth living cannot be bought, they must be felt.) And please, no workaholics! If you don't want to spend the time and effort it takes to grow a real relationship, don't contact me... I have no interest in being a "beck and call" girl.
