Easytunes

Easytunes is a jumble of instrumental music, ranging from your average freeform ambientpieces to tightly woven collage compositions. Using traditional and acoustic as well as electronic instruments, music by Easytunes is always evocative and often conceptual, with moods swinging form the whimsical, cartoonish and humorous to the sinister, aggressive and confrontational. Easytunes has no interest in rendering the real or the actual; rather the aim is to approach the imaginary and visual fabric of music. The convention of a coherent melody-driven structure is often discharged in favour of a temporal exegesis that manipulates the experience of music as a linear succession of associated moments. Easytunes is the brainchild of Martin Hviid - the only permanent member of staff, and features the contributions of various musicians and artists associated with the TV-Baby recording studio in Copenhagen.
