I started this grassroots organization to increase public awareness of Barack Obama. I was impressed with Senator Obama when I heard him speak about Health Care. He spoke about how there being so many unisured people who needed health care but couldnt afford it.In the 2008 campaign, affordable, universal health care for every single American must not be a question of whether, it must be a question of how. We have the ideas, we have the resources, and we will have universal health care in this country by the end of the next presidents first term...(speech in Washington DC, 1/25/07). How there were people with chronic illness such as asthma who were left untreated. I saw him locally at somebodys house here in Vegas. I have never meet anybody who was so candid.I said wow. Here is a guy who was almost unheard of a few years ago and now he is a Presidential Candidate. He has taken time to come to Las Vegas Nevada to somebodys house and sign books etc. He spoke in laymens terms. He wasnt condescinding..he spoke to the audience which certainly was diversified. I said to myself this guy is a Senator. He is running for President. Here he is with everyday people.His credentials certainly are impressionable. He is an attorney. A Civil Rights Attorney. His wife is a Lawyer. He did not have to go anybodys house in 112 degree heat (LAS VEGAS HEAT) to get a vote. He is quite solvent. There were no big names there. Just everyday folks like me. Now I dont now if I will ever get a chance to meet a Presidential Candidate...but I made a vow that day to do everything in my power to make him the President of the United States of this America.He moved me when he said it was time for change.
