I am here for Friends

About Me

I am a happily married mother of two. I know it does sound cliched but hey, it is the truth. I am fortunate to do something I absolutely love which is stay at home with my sons. They are the joy of my life. I have been married for eight years now and it is everything I could have hoped for. I am currently 29 years old, until next year anyway! I could say more, but I think there are more categories to fill out so check them out!

My Interests

My interests include but are not limited to: relaxing with my family, enjoying the sunshine, reading, watching movies and talking about just about anything.

I'd like to meet:

... honest people, happy people, people who love themselves and love life, people who know what they want and are not afraid to go for it. Most of all, I would like to meet people who understand what it means to be true to themselves and do what is right, even when that is not the easy choice.View All Friends | View Blog | Add Comment

Your Theme Song is Beautiful Day by U2
"Sky falls, you feel like
It's a beautiful day
Don't let it get away"

You see the beauty in life, especially in ordinary everyday moments.
And if you're feeling down, even that seems a little beautiful too. What's Your Theme Song?I seriously doubt the accuracy of this test. But I still like the results!

Music:

Snow Patrol, Reliant K, Mercy Me, Switchfoot, Natalie Grant, Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town, Anna Nalick, James Blunt and Coldplay. Of course there are the staples of U2, Dave Matthews Band and Journey (stop groaning!). I really love music so I will pretty much give anything a chance, even country or heavy metal. I do prefer songs that I can sing to so I don't usually listen to classic rock or heavy metal... way too many guitar solos! Not to mention headbanging gives me a headache.

Movies:

I don't like horror/slasher movies or most science fiction. Otherwise, if it tickles my fancy then I will give it a chance. All time favorite movie: The Goonies Close second: Field of Dreams

Television:

Grey's Anatomy, Chuck, Heroes, Sportscenter (that is all one word right?), anything for kids

Books:

The best book ever... Charlotte's Web! I fell in love with Harry Potter and The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants. Anything by John Grisham or Jodi Picoult. If I pick it up and want to read more after reading the back, it is coming home with me!

Heroes:

I am not big on heroes, at least for myself personally. A huge influence in my life has been my parents. My sister is a big inspiration. She has gone through a lot in the past several years and has wowed me with her resilience and "never say die" attitude. My grandmother amazes me with her ability to maintain a positive attitude and a zest for life, despite the death of my grandfather, the love of her life, and the deterioration of her sight.PARENTS ARE THE REAL HEROES.b

A little daily affirmation

Life is an amazing gift. The older I get, the more I truly understand how blessed I am. People are what make life worth living.  My life would be nothing without those that I love. Living life to...
