Monsterbazz's first album "Minnesota" was recorded in August 2001 at Foolpark Studio Zug, Switzerland, with Deezl Imhof. Through gigs with "A" and Krokus and interviews on national TV, Monsterbazz's first single "I'm in love with Britney Spears" got nationwide airplay on different radio- and TV-stations. Soon after, the band decided to produce the next album with Donnell Cameron at Westbeach Recorders in Hollywood, California. The trio took some time off and spent the summer rehearsing and recording the new material. The eleven track album combines cutting edge American sound with an explosive European production. Songs such as "Pop Star" or "Rollergirl" and the breathtaking "Objective" show the band's ability to write honest lyrics and compose catchy sing-along-lines. Sebi wrote Monsterbazz's first single release "The One I'd love to hate", after a harsh break up with his ex-girlfriend. The song got nationwide airplay and was a highlight at every gig. Almost every Monsterbazz song is based on a happening in the band's life. Monsterbazz played many shows with bands such as San Dimas, Such a Surge, T.M. Stevens & Shoka Zooloo, Spider Murphy Gang, A, and Krokus just to name a few, but after almost two years of playing together, Daniel, Andy, and Sebi decided to go separate ways. Daniel and Andy started their own rock band "Tyrehead", where they show their ability to play hard and fast. Sebi put his energy into more bass-oriented material with "Bazz Unit" to show the world that the bass can fill every position in a band. After that, Sebi left for Japan to study and play in Jazz and Blues bands in the Kansai area. After three years the band decided to get back together to play at Bassday Schweiz on 1 September 2007 and they played all their classics. If enough Facebook members become Monsterbazz fans, the band might reunite and show that "Monsters never die"!
