The list is pretty long and I'm sure I'll forget some, so here it goes. Also these are not in any specific order and this is not the entire list...
Dream Theater, Motley Crue, Tommy Lee inspired me to play drums in the first place, Gene Krupa, Louis Armstrong, Benny Goodman, Miles Davis, Iron Maiden, Live, Neil Diamond, Pantera, Damageplan - RIP, Dimebag! - Slipknot, Stuck Mojo, Faster Pussycat, Skid Row and a bunch of other 80's hair metal bands as those are my roots... Kiss, Black Sabbath, Dave Matthews Band, Liquid Tension Experiment, Duke Ellington...as you can see, my scope is very broad. I have never been one to pick "favorites" so sometimes, making a list is a hard thing to do. But as you can see, my tastes are not focused on one genre because I respect all music and love certain types more than others.
I am going to list a few key drummers, though... Tommy Lee, Mike Portnoy, Nikko Mcbrain, Peter Criss, Joey Jordison, Carter Beufort, Vinnie Paul, Tom Knight, Creig Herber, Simon Phillips...again, it is hard to pinpoint as I never make these kind of lists. If you really are interested hit me up and we'll chat.Oh, what should have been...
See the problem of list-making above...having said that, I'll hit a few high points. Goodfellas, Casino, Gangs of New York, and other movies of that nature. As I stated before, I don't like "playing favorites" or making lists but I like pretty much the same as most people when it comes to movies. There are great movies...
CSI, CSI Miami, CSI New York, Without a Trace, Cold Case, and anything else by Jerry Brucheimer, Law & Order SVU, and the greatest smart-ass on the planet...House!
