About Me

Minty fresh...and now with 44% more ninjas!
You can find more of my tattoo work (along with some fun shwag!) at www.hannahaitchison.com.
THE ULTIMATE STAR WARS TATTOO BOOK - PERFECT HOLIDAY GIFT FOR YOUR FAVOURITE SW FAN!! Featuring work from me, my brother Guy, and more great artists than I can think of doing the best in Star Wars related tattooing! Check it out at www.theforceintheflesh.com -- or to buy contact Shane at [email protected]!
Watch for all new episodes of LA INK starting in January with me and my friends Kat Von D, Kim Saigh and Corey Miller keeping the West Coast beautiful on TLC
If you are interested in getting tattooed on the show, PLEASE GO TO THE LA INK MYSPACE PAGE or fill out the online form at www.lainkcasting.com -- the casting for the show is handled by our fabulous casting department who will be happy to work with you. They're looking for fun, cool, interesting people with great art and a story to tell - the funnier, more offbeat or personal the better!
PLEASE DON'T USE MYSPACE TO REQUEST A TATTOO APPOINTMENT (either on or off the show) - and PLEASE BE PATIENT if I don't return notes straight off - I don't have an assistant and receive about 400 emails a day (!) so it can be a bit tough to keep up. You're all wonderful for writing and I just wish I had more hours in the day!!
Unfortunately I'm currently not able to take on any new clients or projects outside of the show due to taping schedules but if you're interested getting on a waiting list for work in the future please fill out a work request online at www.highvoltagetattoo.com. Thanks so much for your interest and hope you love the show!!!

My Interests

Tattoos (sometimes it seems like that's all I'm interested in, but bear with me here), boxing, London, face-melting metal riffage, books, competition-level thrift shopping, movies, knitting, FOOD, that fabulous feeling of discovering an amazing new band for the first time, comix (yeahhhh Alan Moore!), walking around in foreign countries, building stuff, learning stuff, dwarf tossing, tap dancing, squirrel feeding, singing along badly in the car and contemplating interesting looking people around me. Oh, and the luge. I just like the sound of it.

I'd like to meet:

People who get it.Special door prize if you speak Esperanto.

Music:

If it makes my ears bleed, I'm all about it -- Clutch, Zozobra, Jesu, Big Business, Stooges, Cave In, Burning Airlines, Queen, Unsane, Firewater, Ted Leo, Karp, Flake Music, Entombed, Melvins, TRex, whatever Mike Patton's latest chicanery is, Wire, Nick Drake, Mastodon, QOTSA, Thelonious Monk, Futureheads, Pelican, Soft Boys, Billie Holiday, Catherine Wheel, Naked Raygun, Interpol, Mogwai, Envy, ISIS, Pablo Casals, Buzzcocks, Wildhearts, Electric Wizard, Uncut, Bob Wills, Sonics, Harry James, Rush, Helmet, Johnny Cash, Guided by Voices, Love, Gun Club, Syd Barrett, Enon, Hansons/NMN, blah blah blah blah.....

Movies:

Again with the lists.... Hot Fuzz, Better Off Dead, Amelie, Dark City, Orgazmo, Star Wars Trilogy (yeahhhh... try to stump me on it....), Eternal Sunshine, Bubba Ho-Tep, Real Genius, 12 Monkeys, anything Hitchcock, O Brother Where Art Thou, Nightmare Before Xmas, Replacement Killers, Ghost World, City of Lost Children, Shaun of the Dead, anything Preston Sturges without reservation, Tapeheads, Third Man/Citizen Kane Welles stuff, Spinal Tap, Young Frankenstein, Raising Arizona, anything Wes or PT Anderson (yes I know they're not related - at least I hope not, that would be just too weird), any Marx Brothers, any Bill Murray (TOTAL GENIUS), Fight Club, Brade Runnah, Snatch, So I Married An Axe Murderer.......

Television:

Prisoner. Big Train. Family Guy. Robot Chicken. My Name Is Earl. Eddie Izzard or Billy Connolly. South Park. Fast Show. Spaced. 1st season of Little Britain before the bitterness destroyed it completely. And, of course, the mack daddy of them all -- Simpsons. Ahhhh. Now where's that remote...??

Books:

Dangerous territory indeed - any Paul Auster, Shirley Jackson, Michael Chabon, Nick Hornby, Flannery O'Connor, Dennis Lehane, Chuck Palahniuk, James Ellroy, Michael Ondaatje, Italo Calvino, Bill Bryson, Vonnegut, Kazuo Ishiguro, Don DeLillo, Thurber. Confederacy of Dunces. Any biography, period. Poetry. Star Wars novels (dork points to be awarded here). Left-leaning political tomes. Historical disseminations. Lots of art books. Lots of comic books, especially Frank Miller, Los Bros, Daniel Clowes and ALAN MOORE!

Heroes:

My amazing daughter. Mister X, Mister Rogers, Mister Robinson, Mister Darcy (woof!). Rorschach. Midgets who don't have an attitude. The guy who invented coffee. Nikola Tesla. Anyone who is so determined to work for a living that they are willing to stand on a busy street corner, dressed as a hot dog, handing out fliers. That guy at the Starbucks who manages to be so cheerful every day and always remembers my name. Stuff like that.
